We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 3 years for college visits in the area and it has declined in quality every time. Although the breakfast is very good and adds a lot of value for a family, the rooms are quite shabby and there are maintenance issues. On our last visit, one of the beds in our room was broken. We requested maintenance twice during our 2 night stay and it was never fixed. We ran out of toiletries and had to request them twice. The hair dryer was broken. Rooms need painting. Carpets need cleaning. Furniture needs replacing. We will look elsewhere next time.
Although the hotel isn’t quite as modern as some of the Embassy Suites that we have stayed at we were happy that we chose it. The breakfast was awesome as usual and the room was clean and spacious. MA doesn’t allow a “happy hour” but the bartender made me an excellent martini. Expect drinks anywhere in the area to be $$.
Title: Disappointing Stay with No Pool Access at Embassy Suites by Hilton Boston Waltham Review: I recently had a rather underwhelming experience at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Boston Waltham, and I feel compelled to share my dissatisfaction. While the hotel is affiliated with the reputable Hilton brand, my stay left much to be desired, and I would caution against choosing this establishment. One of the most glaring issues was the cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms. The lack of proper upkeep was evident from the moment I stepped into my assigned room. The carpets were stained and appeared to have been neglected for far too long. The bathroom, unfortunately, suffered from a similar fate, with visible dirt and grime in various places. It was disheartening to see such a lack of attention to cleanliness and hygiene, which undoubtedly affected the overall comfort of my stay. Furthermore, the air conditioning system was a source of significant frustration. Not only was it excessively loud, disrupting any chance of peace and quiet, but it also failed to cool the room effectively. Despite adjusting the settings and seeking assistance from hotel staff, the temperature remained uncomfortably warm. It was clear that the air conditioning system was in dire need of maintenance, further detracting from the overall experience. To make matters worse, I was disappointed to discover that the pool was permanently closed during my stay. This information was not communicated to me prior to booking or during check-in. The unavailability of the pool, which is often a highlight for guests, was a significant letdown. It's disappointing when a hotel fails to provide amenities that were originally promised, especially without any prior notice. Considering these aspects, my stay at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Boston Waltham was far from satisfactory. The unclean rooms and bathrooms, combined with the inefficient and noisy air conditioning, left a lasting negative impression. The permanent closure of the pool without any prior notification only added to the disappointment. I would strongly advise potential guests to explore alternative accommodation options that prioritize cleanliness, comfort, and transparent communication regarding amenities. Regrettably, this particular hotel fell short of my expectations and failed to provide a pleasant stay.
Room 722 is leaking rain from the ceiling. This room will baptize you in your sleep. The tub is also broken as well as the beds. I changed rooms the last night so I actually saw the difference between rooms. If they give you room 722 they hate you. Sleeping in a wet bed with rain just like a hobo. Trust me they know. Water in rooms = mold.
I was surprised about this hotel. I used to love staying at the suites but this place really needs more employees or better workers. The rooms were never cleaned during my 4 day stay. The front desk was not well staffed. The gym and pool were not used well. But the breakfast was incredible.
