Absolutely beautiful. The waterfalls, the customer service, the food and the comfortable clean room. Thanks Tim for greeting me while we rode the elevator together. All smiles. The best hotel bacon I’ve ever had. It was fried perfectly. Everything is great. My new favorite stay in Phoenix.
So the room I was helping a couple in had a leak and was not very clean. The shower was a bit gross, and I found straw wrappers in the couch. They made the couple wait over 12 hours just to pick up the trash, which had dirty briefs in it. The food was good, according to the couple. The coffee is excellent. If you want new sheets, you have to put them on yourself if you don't want to leave the room or can't leave the room. The lobby and walkway are gorgeous. The elevators are fancy, and there is a veneer of class. I've had better service at a motel 6, though.
We had a room that was completely renovated so everything was sleek, bright, and fresh-smelling. The breakfast was delicious and cooked-to-order perfectly. We appreciated that we could scoop our omelette fillings before ordering. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets felt soft and smooth. The AC was nice and cold on this extremely hot day (115º!)
We stayed during Labor Day weekend. Check in was quick and easy. They have a complimentary drink at 6. The bartender, Lupita interacted well with the guest, was busy working away and the drinks were just right. I wish I could compliment the whole stuff, however the attitude and rudeness of one particular employee Edith that takes your order on the line in the morning. Not a great way to start off your day, by having some older women snap at you, roll her eyes, be impatient, and talk to you like you're stupid and a nuisance. On our second day there I happen to notice that she was smiling and actually looked like she liked her job, but then I realized it was because she was assisting another employee, not a guest. She quickly returned to her rude and bitter self when a guest was next in line. Too bad Embassy, you miss the mark on that one. She should not work with the guests, maybe in the back would be more fitting. I don't know that I would return if I had to start my day off with that kind of attitude. All the other stuff was great but it was definitely overshadowed by the interaction with Edith. The place was nice, the courtyard was beautiful, it could use a good dusting with all the webs on the windows.
Good hotel, comfy rooms. The digital key worked so that's always a bonus! Pool area looked nice and the lobby was super neat with the koi ponds. Not a huge fan of location as someone who likes to go for a morning run, it's surrounded by gated communities and strip malls so not the best for exercise. Overall I think this is a great options for someone who doesn't want to go for a run from the hotel :)
