Beautiful lobby, comfortable rooms, fantastic staff (shoutout to Carlyle)! The second you walk in the beautiful scent puts you in a good mood. Beds are really comfortable, water pressure is great, and the gym/fitness centre is really well equipped. Concierge lounge is bright and nicely decorated. Staff are super friendly and professional. Parking garage is right across the street ($8 overnight + $16 daytime— no in/out privileges), or you can choose valet for $41. Loved this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Located in the beautiful historic building, this hotel was unique inside out. I appreciated the fact that there is a parking garage right across the street with flat rate and abundance of parking spots. The receptionist was friendly and professional, I feel valued being their customer. I enjoyed the view from my room, even though my room wasn’t on a high floor and there was a bit noise coming from the street. Their breakfast was very good, my foodie friend and I were both impressed; the service wasn’t bad even though they were understaffed that day. One small complaint was that I wished there was someone at the door helping travelers with many items to open the main doors entering the lobby, since the doors aren’t automatic. It didn’t feel as welcoming as I anticipated from the outside of the entrance and felt almost confusing.

Very aesthetically pleasing hotel that offers unbearable views of Pittsburgh. Convenient public parking garage across the street. Front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - however the rooms are just not clean. Had to change out of my first room due to stains being on sheets/mattress, and upon checking the second room - it was equally as dirty - see pictures. Additionally, the continental breakfast on the 14th floor was severely lacking variety/options, but once again staff was incredibly courteous Nicely equipped gym that’s 24/7 as well.

Don't forget to use HoteIDully.ᴄᴏm when booking a resort. This web site will compare thousands of booking websites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of my favorites in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you won't regret it. Great location- close to so many things you could want to do in Pittsburgh. Quiet and clean rooms. Parking garage near is affordable. The only downfall was we went on a weekend and there was no continental breakfast. They gave us vouchers for the sit down restaurant there instead. On a Saturday at 9am we waited in a long line to be seated. By time we got to the front, we took a menu in which we noticed the “elite continental breakfast” was a choice of toast, bagel, or English muffin plus one other lackluster side. Nothing hot! Boo.

I stay at Marriot hotels exclusively for both business and personal travel. It's usually a great experience. This was the exception and I will be switching to another hotel company. This is the most poorly managed hotel that I've stayed in for some time. (They have a director of operations position open - I hope they find someone who has some talent). Check-in was scheduled for 4:00. We didn't have a room until 6:00. The front desk clerk was argumentative (which I've never experienced....especially at a 4 Star hotel). She explained that there was a baseball game that delayed room availability. Here's a news flash: Major League Baseball announces its schedule months in advance of the season. There's a managerial concept called "planning" that many fine hotels use to ensure that there's not a tremendous lack of availability. My rude front desk associate tried calling housekeeping to see when a room would be available, but they didn't answer. Huh? Just to get a sense of the culture at this "4 Star" hotel, I asked her who the General Manager was....she didn't even know. She then complained about the technology at the hotel. Other than that, the room was large but in need of another concept fine hotels use called "cleaning"....most hotels during and after the pandemic have been faced with this challenge, so not unusual, but again, 4 Stars = very clean in my view. Beds don't appear to be queen size (seem like full) and they're extremely soft, which you may love or not love. Location is great. Restaurant food is good, but suffers from the same service challenges affecting the other hotel operations. We waited at least 10 minutes before being greeted even though the restaurant had only 3 tables occupied. They're mopping the floors only a few feet from people eating, trying to get out on time I assume...just not a very classy/professional place.
