The Residence Inn in Austin boasts an exceptional location, especially if you’re attending events at the convention center - it’s literally a minute’s walk away! Personally, I was smitten with the room design and the array of amenities available. A notable perk was the inclusive breakfast, which was a delightful way to start each day. The rooms are spacious, adding to the overall comfort of my stay. If you’re looking for convenience combined with a touch of luxury, this is the place to be in Austin.
Where do I start… The property was absolutely gorgeous, staff was amazing , our room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, everything was perfect 😍. The accommodations were very special and unique with beautiful views of downtown Austin with access to a maze of incredible restaurants and shops. Easy access to transportation or walk into town - we did both. Starbucks staff Liz and Angie were fantastic with great attention to detail. Residence Inn staff Kristen also provided top notch service well before my arrival to Austin. It was a busy weekend for the DreamCon event but make no mistake, the entire staff were helpful!
Super friendly, patient, helpful staff. Lawrence was a smiling saint of patience with our group, and Andrew was very cordial and gracious with us in the restaurant. The rooms, lobby and restaurant were all very nice too. Good food- we all loved the lump crab hush puppies. (FYI-there's an unlisted $9 upcharge for chicken on the $14 Caesar salad, but it's a very nice cut and cooked excellently.)
I travel a LOT for work and this experience was outstanding. We were greeted like Rock Stars, given a bottle of water, and a FREE Grande Starbucks for use the next day. There was also a FREE breakfast. Most hotel breakfasts are chintzy and not much. This was an elaborate buffet with silverware and cloth napkins in a sit down restaurant. This place smells intoxicating! There’s a pleasant scent that greets you upon arrival. Great experience. Highly recommend.
May 2023 Service: Cihan at the front desk was amazing! He warmly welcomed us and made us feel at home right away. He gave us some great recommendations to local attractions, which we took advantage of. The breakfast buffet at Champions was great with a large spread including hot items and fresh fruit. Room: We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Suite, with a Queen bed and en-suite bath in each room. The overall suite was expansive, especially for downtown, though the we found one of the bedrooms a bit small with the queen bed taking up most of the width). The bathrooms and kitchen fixtures were standard extended-stay fare - not high-end or newly designed but clean and comfortable to use. The suite's common area sofa-bed was a hard to sit upon for long since it was sagging. I felt the building structure and interior design (e.g., walkways, bathroom shower curtain, etc.) felt on the older side but I could clearly tell the interior rooms had been updated. Location: The hotel is situated in a great spot downtown - short walk from the Congress Ave Bridge, the Capitol, and other downtown work buildings. Value: I reserved my room for $408.27/night over four nights. For the hotel's location, the suite's size and separate 2 bedroom with en-suites arrangement, I felt like it was good value. While extended-stay arrangements aren't my favorite, I would be happy to stay here again - especially when traveling with family and/or one with a kitchen.
