We loved our stay at this hotel! The spacious room layout and abundant storage made traveling with our one year old so easy. The staff was very helpful, always quickly grabbing us a high chair when they saw us for breakfast in the morning. Decent breakfast options. Location was A+. Super clean. Great amenities including the pool and and easy-to-use printer service. Staying at this Hyatt was the best part of our 10 day trip to Wisconsin!
Our room was very spacious and comfy. The front desk staff was awesome. Very friendly and helpful at recommending great places to eat/grab a drink. The location is good very walkable to the business district as well as the campus area. Parking is not free but appears reasonable compared to other downtown options. We got a complimentary breakfast which was adequate. Our only complaint is the A/C is not the best and would constantly reset itself to 60 degrees.
Great experience staying at the Hyatt Place. Clean and large rooms. Quiet space. Great staff. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, though still would recommend heading up to the farmers market if you can swing it since it's so close to the square. Parking was also very easy. Free for the first car (need to get a permit from the front desk) + additional cost for the second car. Don't forget a permit from the front desk, as they do tow in the garage behind the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
Pros: The location was perfect, within walking distance of all. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and well kept. Cons: Has more to do with the Architect than the Hotel…. Large Room, poor design on the layout. They put toilet and shower in same room small room. Could barely get into shower, very difficult to close door to shower/toilet area.
The hotel is situated close to the Capitol Building. The rooms are big, however I found the closet and the bathroom to be quite small. The separate sitting area was nice. However, the room did lack in basic amenities such as body lotion and bottles of water. Being a Hyatt member, water bottles weren't offered even at check in. The AC also made some noise that disturbed the sleep. The view wasn't great but the rooms were clean. The breakfast was quite decent with a variety of items to choose from. They do have a small bar and ample area to sit down. Have to give special recognition to Lina and Matteo as they were both very helpful and friendly when I needed some assistance with parking the second night I was there. More than the assistance, they took the time to have a conversation which was pleasant. Overall experience was above average.
