Dr. Perkins is terrific. He is thorough and I really appreciate how he explains things during the exam or procedure. He saw me a few minutes before my scheduled appointment time and I’ve never had to wait. Plus, his new office is pretty great. I recommend him wholeheartedly.
The staff made me feel welcome and comfortable. They readied me for my skin check with Dr. Perkins. He efficiently examined me and froze several precancerous spots on my forehead and left ear. An unexpected billing question was quickly resolved at Check Out. I look forward to my next visit in January 2024.
I visit a dermatologist every 6 months, growing up in Australia in the 60’s and 70’s regardless of what type of skin you have, baking in oil on the beautiful beaches in Sydney was a common practice, the consequences for me have been troublesome over the years. I have been a patient of Dr Todd Perkins for the past five years. I find Dr Perkins incredibly professional, he’s is very knowledgeable, has a great bedside manner and has practical solutions for my skin problems. I always finish my visit with touch of Botox which he is very experienced in administering.. I highly recommend Dr Perkins as a dermatologist.
Dr. Perkins is simply the best! He is not only a fine doctor, but a true artist. I recently had Botox and filler treatments. I cannot t believe how natural the results are. I look 5-10 years younger. Dr. Perkins knows just how much to do in order to get a great look. He also has a very pleasant bedside manner and is quite funny! I cannot more highly recommend Dr. Perkins!!!
I recently moved to DC and have been looking for a good derm. I recently had a bad allergic reaction on my face, and some issues with sudden adult acne, so I chose to see Dr. Perkins. Worst experience ever. I've been to a lot of doctors both in the U.S. (NYC, Philadelphia) and abroad in Europe where I used to live. Dr. Perkins is one of the worst doctors I've ever seen. He was super dismissive, curt, arrogant, and barely spent 10-15 minutes with me before rushing off. He actually had the gall to interrupt my questions and say he had other patients to see and clearly had no interest in helping me. This isn't just a case of bad bedside manners, he also didn't have any interest in my medical backstory (why I came in, I had an allergic reaction on my skin, but then other related issues that I think are linked to other factors and my explanation) and just immediately began prescribing things to me. His office then charged me $100 off the bat, even though they accept my insurance, and began explaining to me my co-pay, which is none of their business. When I spoke to my insurance company they told me this isn't really the norm and I had a right not to pay and to ask them to submit my claim though insurance, so I could pay then. Of course Dr. Perkins office front desk told me I couldn't leave without paying. Overall really bad experience, please save your money and time and find someone else.
