This place is VERY unprofessional and this was by far my worst hair salon experience ever. I have never ever done a review but I was very displeased with the whole experience and honestly cried at the end. They were disorganized and relayed incorrect information to me about the pricing to the point the woman doing my hair was arguing with her co worker about the price I was told. I got my hair washed and the woman was clearly not trained on how to wash hair. She was foaming up my hair with shampoo and aggressively combing through my hair. When my hair was done washing instead of sectioning/detangling, she decided to let my hair dry in its tangled wet state. Then proceeded to have me sit in the chair and use a blow dryer with comb attachment to VERY roughy “blow dry” my hair. NO PROTECTANT, NO DETANGLING, NOTHING. she was practically ripping my hair out. On top of it just during the time of me sitting in the chair, I saw 3 ROACHES. The workers saw them and acted like it was normal and went about their day. I literally held my feet up bc one of the roaches were the size of my toe. I wasn’t told until the very end of my service that they did not take card payment mind you there was not ATM on site. They had me walk across a busy highway all the way to the bank YET NEVER TOLD ME ANY OTHER PRICE THAN THE ONE PREVIOUSLY TOLD TO ME. The bank across the street didn’t even take withdrawals so I had to go to a liquor store ATM which I didn’t even feel comfortable taking money out from but I had no choice. When I get back all of a sudden they are telling me I need to pay an additional $60 and wanted me to walk across the highway AGAIN!… this place is super unprofessional and even management admitted how bad my entire experience was. I doubt they even have a license to wash hair, etc and the roach problem is ridiculous. The bugs were crawling behind and under things in the salon.
I got box braids there and she was amazing. She knew my type of hair and she worked perfectly with it. She has really good prices too. The best part was she has a great personality. I will definitely be coming back!
A little disappointed. I got my twists done a week ago. I was the only one there and sat in the chair from 9am-4:02pm. Initially, I loved them and the stylist was very nice. However, they were and are SUPER tight; my scalp is STILL hurting. Now a week and a day later, 3 of the twists have come out, taking my EDGES along with it. Some of my own hair is sticking out from a few of the twists. Its disappointing. That's $220 down the drain. I don't know that I will return, and especially after she told me that next time she would charge over $300. I am ready to take these twists out completely and find someone else to start over 😕. UPDATE 5/11/18: Took out my twists after ANOTHER one came out. Clumps of hair came out with it. Went to wash it. More huge clumps of my natural hair came out!!! DO NOT GO HERE!
If you are looking for a patient friendly braider look no further than Nina Braiding!!! I have been coming to her for over six years witb satisfaction in my experiences. She is very kind to the little ones.
She is such a talented braide she braided my younger sister hair which was knot less box braide and it was so neat and well done and same with mine and has a wonderful personality. Your the best!😊😊😊😊
