This place is owned by locals who truly care about bring a great all around experience to their customers. Don't believe me. Go there and see. Great atmosphere, great drinks!
Have been here several times and great atmosphere and area. But, tonight took two friends who haven’t been to Jerry’s Jug House, and it was incredibly rude service. Embarrassing. Place opened at 4:00, we walked in at 3:56 (door not locked). Both employees sighed, and we said, “oh, are you not open yet? We can go back out.” The woman said, “ I guess we are now”. We said we would just hang out, no hurry, and we were told they weren’t ready and had too much to do. Still, no one said anything or said, “do you mind hanging out or waiting a few minutes”. It was so awkward, we left and went to Obryon’s, which was great. Too bad, because there were a bunch of people Lined up outside, all whom were too afraid to go in because the staff were so rude. (Other people went in and got scolded too- at 3:57). Don’t open the door if you’re ready to take peoples’ money and be respectful.
Great drinks and they let you bring outside food.
Best bar in Newport. Perfect mix of history, great drinks, and fair prices.
