yum! i'm from texas so i realllly craved a southern meal so i got the fried chicken, mac & cheese with a side of cornbread. I was expecting a tiny piece of cornbread and they gave me this HUGE rectangle hahaha. It was very very sweet because of the honey so it pairs well with the mac & cheese or chicken. The fried chicken was perfectly cooked, SUPER hot when i got it so i know for a fact it's made fresh. I ended up burning my tongue lol. The mac and cheese was also so so good. Thanks for giving this texas girl a warm meal on a super cold day. :) ((there was way more chicken but i ate it hahahahaha))

TLDR: Friendly local business in surprising locale with AMAZING food! We were in Duluth for the long weekend, and came across this barbecue place online. We were a little surprised it was in the back of an Elks Lodge, but it was worth taking a chance. The food was outstanding and the servers were extremely personable. We could tell it was a good small, local business and will make return trips when we are back in the area. It was also a welcome price drop compared to the restaurants most visitors in Duluth frequent. The pulled pork was so delicious it probably didn't even need the BBQ sauce on it.

Something was off here. When we got there we ordered and were super excited based off the previous reviews. Our food took over 45 min to come out which was very odd to me for a BBQ place. Keep in mind we were the only ones in there for food when we placed the order. The ribs were $45 and were fine but maybe I was just starving hungry. Nothing special. Dry and tough. The pulled pork and potato salad were inedible. The Mac & cheese was an odd one. They brought out 2 separate orders of it. The first order was great. The 2nd order looked and tasted like boxed macaroni. I'm honestly not sure what to even think about this place, but something was off. If they didn't have items or were out, I wish they would have said something. Honestly and standing behind your product is #1 on my list and there was no attempt to say hey sorry we don't have that let's find a solution or an attempt to explain why ribs and pulled pork takes 45 minutes. There's no reason to spend $84 for subpar food. We won't be back.

My New Year’s Eve 55$ rack of ribs was baked in foil, were not good. No word back about why they didn’t actually fire up the smoker on my expensive rack of ribs, but took a short cut. To me, they should have just said they are not selling them today. The pulled pork was decent, but not from a smoker or grill. Evidence was no blacked edges. See pics below of what I should have been served and what I was served for the 55$ rack of ribs. We through them in the garbage after. On entering the establishment, I noticed a lot of grime on the tiled floor, which is quite concerning since they serve food there, it was a bit cold in there because of the back door being cracked open. I wouldn’t ever come back due to the dirt on the floor and lack of cozy factor if I had sat down, I would have to wear a coat to eat- BUT most importantly- they cut corners with my 55$ Rack of ribs, to a degree that should have NEVER happened for a BBQ place. Ruined my family New Year’s Eve dinner. 100$ family meal, quality and love wise, should have been about 40$. Ribs baked with rub thrown on them are gross. No smoke ring, no Char, gross.
