As one of the restaurants in the downtown area, this place is well known for its food. While it can be noisy due to the open space, the replicated, amazing consistency of the menu is guaranteed to make you happy. The drinks are large and the wine selection is excellent. The decor is retro and the lighting is romantic. Service is less than perfect but they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. This is my third time here and I’ve loved it every time. Eat here if you want to spend on a special occasion.
Great food, good service, just noisy. Serving upscale food, with reviews that mention romantic, I’d expect a quieter more intimate atmosphere. But the swordfish was great, the lamb fettuccine was great! The fried green tomato Caprese appetizer was awesome as well! Would I come back? Yup. It felt/sounded like a truck stop diner. Fix that and you are in business!
I love this place! The food is outstanding and the service is great. We went on Valentine's day and were treated to a special dinner menu for the evening. You can sit and watch the kitchen work or just enjoy each other's company.
Five stars all the way! We are traveling home and stopped for the night in Culpeper. What a great town and it was restaurant week! Everything was absolutely delicious and perfect portions. Our server Maria was so kind and helpful. We'll be back!
Flavor on Main is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The wait staff is super friendly and so attentive. The head chef and crew are master artists in the kitchen! The restaurant offers a 1920’s Prohibition Swanky Vibe, while remaining casual and inviting for all. My husband had an emergency work call and our waitress came over to ask if we would like to keep his plate warm, until his return. The appetizers were out of this world! Our family tried the: scallops and wild mushrooms, sesame tuna, and fried calamari. Our prohibition specialty cocktails were fabulous too — from the Jitterbug, Misbehavin’ Flapper Girl, All that Jazz, to the Gin Ricky. Our main courses were also outstanding. In fact, this was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time (maybe ever)! We ordered the: Southern Comfort Fried Chicken, Crab Stuffed Salmon, and Chicken Arianna with Gnocchi. Holy Guacamole — we will be back!! I highly recommend this restaurant! Call and make a reservation— you will NOT be disappointed.
