Fantastic place off the beaten path! Very friendly people and great service. The food was first rate. Our server Batrika was nice and helpful. The fried chicken was very good and the chopped steak had a good sear and great flavor. Food is served in a Styrofoam box with plastic utensils. This makes eating some items tricky, but it keeps overhead down. If not for that, this would be a 5 star establishment.
It looks a little odd from the outside but the food was amazing and such a vibe inside. I got the Cajun chicken pasta and every bite was amazing. Also 10/10 recommend this drink
Location may be just a bit sketchy but the building the restaurant is in is well taken care so do not let that deter you from an OUTSTANDING meal! It is very much a bar atmosphere thus the service is a bit slow because the waiters are the bartenders as well. Just enjoy the time with friends or your date along with the great background music and themed drinks. Our food was the highlight of this stop. We had the salmon balls as an appetizer that were delicious and for our entree we shared the Seafood Platter. Don't let the price fool you. It is a HUGE platter with tons of fresh shrimp, thin cut Catfish filets, and the special of fried crab claws! We seen what others were eating as well and could randomly pick something off the menu and it would be delicious! This is a must stop for seafood lovers and a little bit of the Blues!!!
I went there twice in one week. Just so happened that my out-of-town friends were on a plane and this was one of the recommendations to attend - and my oh my, it was a great recommendation. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great, the music was fabulous and it just added to our girlfriends experience. Oh yeah, did I mention that the drinks were fantastic. That liquid marijuana, (a drink..) oh baby yeah! The location is kind of out of the way, but we weren’t really concerned. And you will not regret having gone there as they have a variety of dishes from steamed vegetables, which the girls absolutely loved, to seafood and burgers, Even the fries were ‘to write home about.’ do not hesitate to make this part of your Jackson dining experience. There are pictures of historical people and stars on the exterior walls. The entrance understates the vibe and ambience inside. I got so caught up in everything else forgot to mention that the service was on point as well.
Don't let the exterior fool you! Great blue plate special that is under $20 and will fill you up. The way Jxn/MS charges for cocktails threw me off, so I would suggest sticking to the frozen drinks and/or neat spirits.
