Went to both locations..... The first one didn't close for another 2 1/2 hours and they said they weren't putting any fresh food out and they were out of some items. We then went to the 2nd location and when we first walked in it was dark and gloomy (I wanted to leave but hubby said "were here now") The food on the buffet looked JUST like the 1st location, ols and dries out. The waiter/Cashier was very courteous. They did refund us us for half of our meal. This post is in hopes that they will start caring about their customers and the service they provide.
This was another recommendation from a KV local and let me tell you o was not disappointed! This food was yummy. I do say get there early because they run out so some of the items I wants were not available. Also just a note they don’t serve catfish everyday and so when we went on a Sunday they were not serving which was definitely disappointing because it’s definitely talked a lot about. I got the smothered pork chop ala carte and a veggie plate. My friend got the fried chicken. Both were great options and delicious! The sauce that they smother that pork chop is so so so good. The sides that I had included mouthwatering Mac and cheese, delicious cabbage, yummy green beans, and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. We also got peach cobbler which was great and bread pudding was too salty and not good in my opinion. Oooohhhhh do not forget to try their sweet potato cornbread!! So amazing!
First visit. Ordered fried chicken and Salisbury steak, greens, mashed potatoes and the sweet potato cornbread. The greens sang to me like none other. The cornbread stood on its own, no butter, no honey just fantastic. Chicken was good and moist. The place is a destination.
This food was good and hot. I love fresh chicken so they definitely come with it. Sides were good as well. I recommend this place if you are in the area
The thrill is gone,,, they used to serve really fresh good food but that was a a few years back, I usually would go to the Eastwood location but the food has been trash so I tried this one since I haven't been in a while,, it was worse than the other one. All the food was days old, you could tell the Mac had been re- heated a few times, they didn't have yams,, even the corn bread and rolls were old. The saving grace was the cake and the fish, the chicken was good but had to wait 10 min for it. If this had happened only one time I wouldn't have commented, but it seems to be becoming the norm,,, so I def won't be back! WHAT HAPPENED!!!! This was supposed to be my last meal eating meat and unhealthy food,, so you know I'm upset😁
