Exhilarating experience right here in St. Louis. I received a Hollywood head spa treatment! I had a Deluxe Detox. I started off with a rejuvenating eucalyptus steam treatment. Next was the exfoliating Himalayan salt scrub, rejuvenating and tingling my scalp for 30-40 minutes normally, but I went for a whopping 60 minutes since I was celebrating my 60th, I went for the the royal treatment! Totally worth the extra $$$. To remove toxins out of your pores stimulating luxurious hair growth, I got the bentonite charcoal clay mask, really noticed less hair shedding. Next was the Apple cider vinegar steep, then ending a hydration treatment. It was truly a seventh heaven experience! Dezzy braided my natural hair and adorned 4 twists with some Malaika custom lock/braid jewelry! I left looking and feeling like a natural hair queen! Check me out!!
Not only are they super unorganized, they claimed that I didn’t pay for my consultation multiple times (although I did), they didn’t even have my appointment in the system, they were going to try to charge me 500 dollars for box braids (during my consultation), and when I said I didn’t want to pay that much, they instead said “Maybe you should rethink the size or length” and questioned why I didn’t want to pay that much continuously. They also were rude about the fact that I only wanted to buy an oil instead of a more expensive product after my consultation that I had already paid $50 for. Also, the place being new and “upcoming” and honestly very bootleg, those prices definitely need to go down and the staff needs to be way friendlier.
Outstanding customer service, the ladies there were so amazing and so nice and help me pick the perfect style for my hair. My wash was the most luxe wash I ever received in my life. And when they did my interlocking it did not hurt at all it felt very smooth and they took very gentle care of my sister locks which are very precious to me!!!! They care for my hair as I care for my hair!!!! I felt the love and positive energy❤️❤️❤️👑👑✨✨✨✨ Worth every dime, I will be back!!!!!!!!!
They got my hair right. I love this place. Can't wait to get scalp detox.
I give the young ladies five stars for being sweet and offering a pleasant environment. But five knotless braids over three hundred dollars is too high and it don’t fit the service provided. Salon is average but not high-end. Owner needs to be more present with workers and retraining is needed plus price adjustment on services. I will not never return to Malaika Hair Salon. Please have the best of luck with future improvements!
