We went this weekend for homecoming but left with a prom dress. We felt welcomed and comfortable. To me they asked my daughter questions as if she was a bride not in high school. Their knowledge of the dresses was spectacular. The mother and daughter chatted with us the whole time. Hands down the best experience I could have asked for. Support local we traveled 1 an hour half and totally worth it.
The best shopping experience ever!!! I made an appointment for 3 online and received an email confirmation and reminder. 2 of us arrived on time, but one was 30 mins late and they didn’t mind at all, even though it meant splitting their efforts between us and the next appointment. They asked questions about our styles and favorite colors and found us all the perfect dresses for our gala. The bags they gave us for our dresses were fantastic, really great quality, not the plastic ones from the cleaners and no extra cost. And when they heard we were going down the street for lunch, they offered to let us leave our dresses there instead of putting them in our car and hoping they’d be safe. They took pics/videos for us, that we intend to use in our vlog and shared our posts in the dresses on their social media. And we got soooooo many compliments at the event and on our pics. I will definitely use them again!!
We chose this shop by the name, as well as being a female and black owned business. These ladies are the nicest people I've ever met. They really want to help you find something you will love, look great in, and in your price range. Even when I was frustrated, their kindness did not falter. Beautiful selection of dresses in all styles, color, and size. I felt very comfortable and welcomed here!
Cannot recommend Calla Lily enough! I went looking for a wedding dress but wanted something non-traditional. After showing some photos of dresses I liked from designers they carried, the owner and her daughter (I can't remember their names off the top of my head but they were fantastic!) were able to pull a few dresses that were on my list and a few that weren't on my radar. Unlike a lot of other places I have gone dress shopping at, they understood the vibe of what I was looking for and pulled really phenomenal gowns (honestly, I could have just closed my eyes and picked something at random and it would have been gorgeous and amazing). They asked questions and were incredibly helpful, and I was so thrilled and elated when I found "the" dress. It fits me both literally and figuratively, and I cannot wait to wear it! We had some great conversation during the check out process, not to mention the space itself is as beautiful as the selection. They gave me information to a few different places for alterations as well, and made sure the mention what types of alterations would be good/possible for the dress when I had it on. They were super patient and I really appreciated the time and care they took not only pulling dresses but giving some feedback and suggestions. I was also impressed with the selection/variety of gowns and size range. Never once did I feel like I was taking up too much time or that I wasn't as important as other customers just because I wasn't looking for a traditional wedding gown (which is how I felt at other places and what made me anxious to continue the search). The price point was also just right! I had such a wonderful and positive experience, and absolutely would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a formal gown or wedding dress.
My niece and I went shopping for her prom dress at Calla Lily. They have a great selection, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about sizing, shipping, and alterations. It was overall a great experience. Although we didn't purchase from there, I would highly recommend it.
