Tried this restaurant for the first time. I got the chicken and shrimp Alfredo. And the strawberry shortcake grapes. To start the pasta was mushy as soft as mash potatoes the flavor wasn’t there. The grapes were also just ok. For the price I expected more. The atmosphere is nice though.maybe today wasn’t a good day for them. But I’m not the type to come back and find out if they get better. One and done for me.
I had been following this place online and was determined to try them out. My mouth was ready for some spectacular food, but I was let down. They did not live up to their hype. My mom loves ox tails so I got her that meal with black eyed pea and mac n cheese. The ox tails were very fatty. She couldn’t really enjoy them because she was discarding the fat while eating. You’ll see the pictures… But she did say they had good flavor. I tried some but it didn’t make me want to become an ox tail eater. Black eyed peas are black eyed peas. Nothing to say about them. The mac n cheese was super average. If you know someone, or are someone that can make some decent tasting mac then thats all it was. It was absolutely nothing to write home about. I ordered the jerk shrimp and mac n cheese. The shrimp were nothing I cant do and Im no celebrity chef at all. They didn’t impress me. Again my mac n cheese was cooo. Kid approved, because my son polished the mac n cheese off for me. Definitely not a place to go out of your way to eat at, and not a place to have catered to your party.
I was able to get jerk chicken meal with 2 side greens and Mac and cheese . Sides were good no complaints greens had nice spice and seasoned. The jerk chicken was not up to par. it had no sauce on it which made it dry. All the jerk chicken I had from the Caribbeans to different states I had better . To get a side of jerk sauce which should have just a came on the chicken was $7.50 extra . Thought was a bit much. Would try other things next time if I’m in town

This place used to be my favorite. Literally the best food in Vegas when they had the truck! Now that they have the new restaurant location I am sad to say the food is not the same. I’m not sure if I went on a night chef Trish wasn’t working but the food was not the same.. at all. I even woke up with a stomach ache the next morning. The Mac had no flavor just tasted like noodles and cheese. It used to be creamier and sweeter. The yams were not the same as last time they were missing something and they were a lot mushier. The salmon was fishy and the steak was not tender at all.. it was burnt. I kept eating hard pieces of cartilage. The rice under Meath was hard, dry and had no flavor. Even the Alfredo sauce on top did NOT taste the same!!! It was missing chef Trish’s secret ingredient or something I don’t know. I spent a lot of money here and I am disappointed that my food tasted like this. Every time I see chef Trish in the kitchen the food is so good but I don’t know what’s going on. The first time I went here I swear the best meal I ever had in my life but now they’re switching locations and hiring new people. I’m extremely sad. Bring back the old taste Budz!!!
