Was going to order out after recommendation from neighbor but quickly changed my mind after seeing this. I’m so glad that I went in and didn’t order over phone only. These type of establishments know which type of communities will accept this. The display looks like it was not been cleaned in the longest and raw fish is passed through and kept there. I know the raw fish touches those areas and I’m surprised that health inspection has not shut them down. I think it’s blatant disrespect to show this to your patrons…because you know that they don’t care. Shameful!
I truly was just under whelmed by the food. The Turkey wings & cabbage had no flavor or seasonings. Gravy tasted straight out the can. The noodles for the Mac and cheese were hard & it was served luke warm. If I wasn’t running late for work and didn’t have any other choice, I wouldn’t have ate as much as I did. Wont be returning.
Boiiiiii!!!!! So yall was just hiding this place? In MD? Just straight keeping secrets?? How could you??!! I was craving some fried catfish and boyyyyy did this place deliver. My catfish was a crispy, golden brown. I also got the Mac and cheese and rice and gravy. So freaking good!! I got that half and half tea and the carrot cake. This the food that make you dance and slap ya momma across the room. Now I will say...that wait aint nothing to laugh about. You gonna wait whether you order ahead or walk in. So, don't have no plans or you're gonna miss em. Either way I highly recommend them! Wish I had a place this back home.
🩵 My fav "Soul Food" spot! 🩵 I use " Door Dash or Uber Eats" to get My meal delivered which im seeing is $4 to $5 more than the in-store price, due to fees on the delivery app fee's. 🩵 The food is always fresh & my " special instructions" are followed. Only had minor issues w/ my orders only " 2 times" ( Ex: Added gravy when asked for None... things like that. ), but meals are always fresh and petty good portions for the price. 🩵 ( MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATIONS ) Rice & Gravy ( Extra Gravy ) Collard Greens Dinner Platter- Salmon w/ 2 Sides Dinner Platter- Porkchops w/ 2 sides ( Ask for " no gravy on porkchops" if you DONT prefer gravy on your Porkchops . )
I usually never leave reviews but I am thoroughly disappointed. Firstly the food is bland, EVERYTHING nothing was seasoned well besides the yams. Secondly, I found a foreign object in my freaking food. Highly disgusted. Will never eat here again.
