I purchased my dress in July 2021 and received it 3 weeks before my wedding in March 2022. I'll admit this made me nervous because during this time I became pregnant and knew I would need alterations (luckily by this time I wasn't showing much). My initial appointments and fittings were amazing. I love that they only see 1 client at a time. Fast forward to right before the wedding and my belly grew again! Nikki accommodated me up to the morning of the wedding by coming to where I was getting ready to make sure my dress fit me well. I will be having a second ceremony and she will be taking the dress back in since I've given birth. I love my dress and excited to get to wear it again! Thanks!
Although I absolutely loved my dress when I finally received it, my experience up to the point of receiving it was absolutely HORRIBLE. My first visit was pleasant and the owner was very accommodating. The price of the dress was very reasonable. I was excited to purchase my dress from a black owned business however the lack of communication was extremely unprofessional. I had to call several times with no response or call back. In addition, you could not leave a message. I would text repeatedly with no response. My dress was paid in full August 2022. After numerous attempts to reach the owner I was finally able to retrieve my dress January of 2023. During my dress pickup, she apologized profusely for me being unable to reach her, blamed her assistant and said she had been ill, which I don’t believe because other reviews stated these are her go to excuses when confronted by clients. Thank God I did get my dress because shortly after that she was arrested and featured on the news for taking money from brides that had not received their dresses after paying her and they were unable to contact her so they went to the police for assistance. I hope and pray that any bride that was burned by this business will be compensated. If I could give zero stars I would!
If you go to just buy a dress you might have different experience then I had. My wedding was in Montreal and I had the nightmare of my life. She had to just fix couple layers in the dress but she messed up everything. When trying to call, set appointment she never pick up phone or reply texts. She was supposed to do my bouquets and the bridesmaids dresses when I’m telling it was a nightmare it was. She took the measurements they were All wrong too big or too small. At the end of the day I had to travel to Montreal she promise me she will ship my dress, when giving tracking number it was wrong. She Is so unprofessional and doesn’t know what she is doing she accuse and old employee for not keeping posted. At the end of the day she is worst. Don’t go there for nothing that beautiful place is just and Appearance to hide mediocrity.
This is the worst experience I have ever had! I won a free dress at a bridal expo through Maplewood Bridal. I was promised $2,000 towards any dress in the store. I have had multiple fittings with a dress I fell in love with. When it was time for my last fitting Nikki said the dress would be in within the next 3 weeks. It has been over 8 weeks now. I have been calling to get an update on my dress but when I do the mailbox is full and no one answers. I have sent multiple texts, emails and notes. I was robbed of my experience for finding the perfect wedding dress thanks to MAPLEWOOD BRIDAL!!! Please save your time and energy! Look elsewhere and don’t be fooled by the FAKE reviews to writes. Nikki if you weren’t going to give me the dress you could have said that in the beginning or just not offer the stupid certificate in the first place!
I cannot say enough amazing things about this boutique. I had went for my first appointment not expecting to find anything. I went with my whole family and was greeted by the most amazing staff. Nicky was my stylist, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. I showed her an idea of what I was looking at and that I was open to other cuts and fits. The first dress she ended up pulling for me was my dream dress and now happily my dress! The selection here is better than expected. It was also actually just under my budget, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Nicky genuinely cares about her guests and treats you like family. Nicky held my hand from beginning to end and I couldn’t have imagined a better experience. Sometimes you hear about poor services and attendants that don’t care about your wants and needs and make the whole experience awful and I can genuinely say that’s not the case here. Whoever is reading this do yourself a favor and book an appointment and ask for Nicky!!
