It’s so hot in there as soon as you walk in. The front counter person was a bit too rude for my liking after asking her how she was her response was “what do you want “ which caught me completely off guard. All I ordered was jerk chicken and Mac and cheese with a slice of red velvet cake. Took almost 20 minutes mind you I was the only one in the restaurant. The jerk chicken was pretty good. The Mac and cheese was lacking cheese and flavor. The red velvet cake was brought out of a frozen box. Once it thawed it was okay. I’d come back if they come work on their customer service.
The Jerkin Truck hosted our Safety Event and the delivery was great! Everyone loved the authentic Jamaican jerk chicken, shrimp and salmon! Thanks Well done!
I honestly only come here because it’s so close to the university. The food is so hit or miss! But right now the food honestly sucks. I’m starting to consider just eating food from the food trucks around here. My jerk chicken was dry as heck. My curry chicken had no flavor. The prices keep increasing but the quality of the food is decreasing. And why isn’t their air conditioning in this location? I can honestly understand why the food sucks. The cooks are probably sweating their butts off in the back. I was sweating when I walked in to pick up my food. It was freaking September. Stop being cheap!
I booked Jerkin Chicken for my hubby's 52nd birthday party 3 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did! If you want the real Jamaican vibe and delicious Jamaican food this is it❗I frequent there take out restaurant in Jersey City and they do the outdoor food fest every Saturday in the summer😀
Terrible. My curry goat was old some of it was crusty and super dry, that’s how you know it’s old, might even be previous day’s! But even when I save at home for next day, it is never crusty and dry covered in sauce. And they don’t even have pepper sauce. I paid $19 for that and a coke. Ridiculous.
