Great experience! The shop is clean and designed well. It also has good, clean energy. Amber and Chris conduct themselves professionally. The prices are very reasonable and the service is awesome!

Update to comment - I am more than happy to discuss any misrepresentation. I feel you presented with your deposit policy and the preaching I was referring to was in reference to the repeated calls for Black people to stick together and making sure we look out for one another then once I called you with an emergency one week prior stating my work schedule, conflicted with the appointment and your willingness to move it just to turn around and take my money which you could’ve stated during the phone call one week before —————————————————————— Not bad, but she will preach to you during the styling. Also, she will take your deposit even if you have an emergency, not great customer service in my opinion should give options to reschedule with deposit and should keep it on cancellation -

The lady Autumn is rude and nasty she has a horrible disposition. She talks to people like they are beneath her. Change your attitude sis' before you find yourself without customers. If it wasn't for the customers money that shop would be OUT OF BUSINESS...BIG FACTS💯

I absolutely LOVE Lynna (the braider) who worked on my son’s hair earlier this month. She is professional, patient and really understands hair and what it needs to be healthy. I am not someone who is familiar with braid shops, and their normal procedures, but I have been going to salons all of my life. When I arrived that day, I was “greeted” by a woman who I assume was the owner of this salon and was told, as I stood at the bottom of the staircase, that I needed to wear a mask and that I could go across the street or up the street to purchase a mask. Not a big deal since that is usually the norm now, however it would have been convenient to either see a sign outside, be provided one as a courtesy (with or without a cost) or for my actual braider to advise of that prior to my arrival. Once I returned masked up, the woman “greeted” us once again and indicated she did not recognize the name of the braider I was supposed to be getting serviced by. I showed her my text thread and she told me that this was the right address since I was standing there. She said she would figure out who the woman was and escorted me and my 7yo to the lobby. Finally the braider came out and had us follow her to the salon. She stated that I would not be allowed to remain in the actual salon because it was only for people who were getting services done. I felt immediately uneasy as I have never met her in person nor have been to this salon before but I waited in the lobby for a few mins. Something made me get back up to go check on my son and I saw the owner working on a clients hair. I asked her where Lynna was and she kept asking me “what?” from across the room because I guess she didn’t know the name of the braider. So I walked away towards the back of the salon and found him there in tears and screams as he was getting his hair washed/detangled. I was surprised honestly because he did not cry during his session with her a few weeks prior at a different location. I was so angry and upset because I couldn’t hear anything through the walls in the lobby, so had I not gone back there I would never have known he was not ok. I asked the braider why were we not allowed to be with our children and she told me to talk to the owner. The owner was styling another client’s hair as I approached but did not make any move to speak with me privately. I asked her was this rule applicable to minors as my son was upset and was only 7 yrs. old. She told me that “she gets kids all of the time coming into her salon and the parents just go even when the kids are crying etc.” She also stated that “every salon has their own rules and that’s the way it was at this salon”. So I replied that I would be coming in constantly to check on my son, because I was not going to allow for him to be upset and in pain without a parent around, to which she did not respond. My son’s braider spoke to me and had me stay with him as she completed the detangling process. She then assured me that she would be in communication with me every step of the way via text and phone (which she did). Braids came out great as I knew they would but as a first time customer going into this salon, this was not the warm, friendly and professional treatment that I have grown accustomed to receiving at salons or any location where I am a patron. I went online to the salon’s Instagram account that day and noticed there were clear rules regarding NEEDING a parent to accompany a minor without exception. However, in reality you are not accompanying them because you are made to sit in a lobby which does not allow for you to know or hear what is going on. Before posting today I did go online and saw that they did add the masks rule to their profile which is nice that they did that. The salon itself was clean and seems like they have invested a lot into creating a space you would feel good about going to for hair services. I would definitely recommend Lynna (and hope she finds a different location) but I will not return here due to my experience with the owner.
