I started going to Wellington Hair Spa once they opened back after COVID. My hair was so damaged and dry and Patrick gave me a conditioning treatment and relaxer. My hair is silky and soft and I love my haircut. It's a clean and awesome environment with great service and price. I am more than pleased with my experience at this salon and I go every two weeks to have my hair done.
I met with Patrick who was already on site for my 2pm appointment. My hair was severely damaged so I went to him specifically for hair restoration. Patrick washed my hair and then proceeded to cut/clip the my hair. My hair is natural 4C. As ge cut my hair I attempted to show him some natural short hair styles but he just kept saying "their not really natural and actually relaxed for sake of the pictures. Even when I tried to show real time hair styles being done. He said he was cutting my hair in a "pattern". My hair looked so dull at 1B surprisingly I had to request my hair be dyed. He dyed it 1 black. Moreover I had to ask thst he shapeup the back. He commenced to do so but it appeared the clippers did not work and then he said well ur hair back shspe is a W. So it was not shaped. I then requested gel for my edges he took out what appeared to b hair lotion. I could see my hair was not looking good. He then patted my hair on the sides n that was it. The worst part is when I asked how much he hesitated so I went n put on my coat and I asked again. He had the audacity to say 175!! That's more then a nice set of knotless braids! Reluctantly I said 150 of course he didn't turn it down. I just paid dude rent! what a ripoff and check out the pics they speak for it self. Then he tells me I just need to embrace my natural hair..The very next day I had to pay again and get a weave I wish I would have done this initially! N my fault for not squaring up the price first but damn 175. N let me just say I really didn't mind the cost if my hairstyl was a hairstyle. This dude seemed like he just came out of retirement. He had n updated hairstyle techniques as stated. Not even the proper tools. N how could a hairstylist let u leave thir shop knowing their customer is disappointed especially this was my first time but he didn't care I was just a easy "comeup". If he couldn't style my hair he just have said so. N the only reason I went to him because he had all excellent reviews unfortunately that wasn't my experience
I was in NYC for a week after a beach vacation and needed my hair done. I was referred here by a friend of the family ( she's local, a regular) and Patrick did not disappoint. He was professional, kind and gentle with my tangles. He was meticulous and pressed small sections of my thick hair until every strand was just right. His service left my hair looking beautiful and flowing with soft curls until my next wash. The salon is well appointed and I was treated nicely. I will definitely go back the next time I'm in the City. Thanks Patrick!
I’ve been going to Wellington salon for several years - Patrick is fantastic! I love this salon. The staff is amazing - professional & friendly! Highly recommended this salon. My go-to hairstyle is the silk press w/ deep conditioner. 10/10
I don't go to the salon often, but when I do I head to Patrick's chair. I've been coming to this salon for the last 15 years, and I know I can always count on a solid deep condition and excellent cut from Patrick. I went this past Saturday, and I love this salon because they run in a timely manner. Patrick handled me from wash to cut. He takes his time to be gentle with the hair through detangling, blowing and flat ironing-- which I always appreciate. The prices are more than reasonable. It's been a week and my hair is still feeling strong and healthy. Highly recommend this salon. Well worth it!
