I love USQ and Tom! Such a wonderful salon. I’ve been coming here since it opened as I love the relaxed atmosphere and great service. Tom is fabulous with my curly hair, both color and cut - and does a great blow dry. If you’re looking for great hair, in a chilled plant filled salon, at a super convenient location this is your place!
I’ve been coming to USQ Social since they opened, and I started seeing Ryan — IG: @ryry.hair — before he joined Tom at USQ. Ryan is amazing — I love his lovely lush blondes and precision cuts for achieving that perfectly coiffed look. But now that he’s at USQ, the experience is even more enjoyable. The environment and experience that Tom and team have created here is wonderful: you’ll be surrounded by beautiful foliage in a space decorated with a mix of mid-century modern and current-day glam. A complete gem of a place, it’s easily accessible by subways since it’s so close to the Union Square station.
This plant-and-sun filled quintessential New York salon also happens to have an elite level of professional stylists with no preconceptions or pretense. Just hard core talent. Ryry has been cutting and coloring my hair for years and always listens to me, talks to me and then goes about working their magic. I had always had stylists where a month or so after a cut I struggled to get my hair to look right. Ryry’s cuts are so precise I can literally go for many months with the ability to easily make it look good. I have no idea how they do it. And the color always looks natural, long after we all know it isn’t.🤣#usqsocial
Tom is the most talented colorist and hair stylist I’ve ever had. I have been going to Tom for a decade, and won’t let anyone else touch my hair! USQ Social is a great vibe, and all the staff are very professional and talented.
First time coming here, and I booked with Ryan! I walked in having never met them, wanting to go from a long bob to a slightly long pixie. My hair is very fine with a naturally wavy to loose curly texture. I have never gone that short; and Ryan was so wonderful and made me feel super comfortable. They totally put me at ease. They took time to really chat with me about what we were going to do, how to care for and style my hair at home - and was just the loveliest human. I LOVE the cut and color and can't wait to return!
