I ordered delivery on doordash and got the ox tail lunch special, boy was I struggling at work after that meal. I thought I would have enough for later there was so much but I lack self control and finished it, there might have been 2 drops of gravy left. I think the portion of meat is fantastic, I don't know other places that give this much meat over the sides. But the flavor, absolutely delicious and satisfying. I know you can't see it but this is how you do Mac and cheese, I'll probably order a side of that as well. Will definitely be ordering/visiting again!
If you’re one of those people who don’t like your food to touch then this spot ain’t for you because they lay the portions on you which I don’t mind at all 😂 I’m super skeptical on restaurants claiming “soul food” above the Mason-Dixon Line and since moving to NY trying these “soul food” spots just to get a taste of back home has been trash 🗑️ However The Soul Spot is my new go to whenever I’m in BK. The Mac n cheese is delicious and thank God it’s not flavorless and watery like these other places. The baked chicken was good and falling off the bone and it comes with the cornbread. Definitely hit this spot again soon with the fam
You’d be foolish to not give this place a try. Food, service, and the whole experience was exactly what we were looking for. The meat and chicken were just falling off the bone, and all the sides were full of flavor. Portions are perfect too! 😋
My family and I ate at Soul Spot while celebrating my sister's birthday and we weren't disappointed. The ladies gave great customer service and the food was sooo good. The space was a lil small but the flavors are big!
The fact that y’all crammed all my sides in one bowl is a NO for me.. I can see the sides that come with the meal in one bowl, but the additional sides should’ve been in a separate container.. Now as far as the food: The collard greens where gritty, y’all didn’t wash them good enough, the stuffing had a sweet taste which I’m not a fan of, the Mac and cheese was just ok, the yams were good and the turkey wings were good.. overall I give the food a B+. I know this isn’t the traditional preparation of southern soul food, so I’m gonna have y’all an E for effort..
