Located inside Hotel Monaco you got 2 swanky restaurants that will heights your food tasting experience!! TRUST!! Let’s get to it!! . Where I am: @theglasshousedc . Location Reviewed: 555 F St., N.W., Washington D.C. inside of @monacodc . Menu Includes: Their Funguy Toast (Wild mushroom ragu, poached egg, charred spinach, on sourdough $16). LIKE THAT!! The Ragu was succulent, the mushrooms were meaty, the sourdough was crisp. This was a MEAL!! The Dirty Habit Burger (an 8oz chuck, fried egg, kewpie mayo, mizuna. charred onion, teriyaki, charcoal bun, aged cheddar cheese, & truffle fries $28). STAMP!! A thick superbly juicy burger, you tasted each topping, the bun tasted normal!! STAMP the fries too…especially dipped in their garlic aioli!! Their Chix Waffler (Fried chicken thighs, a Belgian waffle, bourbon maple syrup, maple syrup, Mumbo sauce, & a side salad-it was fresh-$23). STAMP the Bourbon Syrup!! Smokey & sweet!! STAMP the Waffles…fresh, fluffy, & it retains the syrup well!! The Chicken…LIKE THAT!! Thick, crispy, & juicy…well cut with no cartilage!! The Mumbo sauce…DECENT. I think they missed the ketchup in this. Their Chicken Karaage Sandwich (with fermented hot sauce, coleslaw, Japanese pickles, & side salad $23). LIKE THAT!! Spicy, a hint of vinegar, with a slaw that blended perfectly!! The salad was FRESH!! Their Signature Crab Soup (with seasonal vegetables, lump crab, & herbs $15). STAMP!! Old Bay’ish, slightly creamy, FRESH lump crab…WINNING!! Their Crispy Brussel Sprouts (flash fried, & drizzled with almonds $12). STAMP!! Well seasoned, not overly salted, crisp with a snap!! Their Cotton Candy Grape Ice Tea (muddled grapes, white tea, & vanilla $9). STAMP STAMP!! The tea was sweetened by the grapes, & vanilla, refreshing MY FAVORITE DRINK EVER!! Their Strawberry Lemonade (muddled strawberry $7). STAMP!! Palate cleansing, & refreshing!! . Customer Service: On Point . Online Navigation: Easy . Parking: Rough . Recommendations: The Burger, truffle fries, soup, and that Cotton Candy iced tea!! .
