I love this practice. I consider myself pretty picky when it comes to doctors and Dr Dufera is one of the bests I’ve seen (doctors in general, not just dentists). He is super nice and professional, gentle on my sensitive teeth, and takes the time to explain everything, show photos and teach you how to have great oral health. I can’t recommend him enough
The greatest!! I love the staff as they always make me feel comfortable and you can tell they actually care. Dr. Dufera is amazing at what he does and makes the complicated seem simple! I recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a dentists, needs a new one, scared of dentists, etc.....this is the place to come to!
I highly recommend Silver Spring Smiles. Dr. Dufera and the staff are truly wonderful and caring, and have gone above and beyond in many different ways in the five years I have been a patient. My whole family is always extremely happy with the level of care and quality of the dental work we receive. Dr. Dufera is the best dentist I have ever had. The office is clean, new and state of the art, and very conveniently located in downtown Silver Spring. I am so happy I found Silver Spring Smiles!!

Unfortunately, most offices had availability only as far as January, which would have been too late given my discomfort. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, I seized the opportunity and agreed to the same-day extraction. While embracing my role in securing the necessary procedure, I encountered an unexpected challenge when rescheduling my deep cleaning appointment. Despite my valid reasons and the doctor's explicit guidance to seek an earlier extraction, I faced an unprofessional attitude from the front desk. The tone of the conversation and the emphasis on my awareness of the original appointment date were disheartening and really makes the company look bad. Very clean clinic. Today was my first visit for cleaning my teeth. Staff very professional. Dr. Daniel Dufera is highly recommended if you get nervous or anxiety like me at dentist office. He takes time to explain the issues and procedure. He will show you before and after pictures of your teeth/gums. He is not going to try to sell you anything other than what is really needed. I am in love with my teeth after cleaning. Trust me, he has gifted hands from God.
