I've never been to such a ratchet nightclub in my life, trust me, I'm from South Philly. First of all, it's located in a basement, and it was so hot that it felt like walking into the gates of hell! We asked our server if the AC was broken or something. She told us it's normal for this time of year. Seriously? Anyway, the server was nice and attentive, but they messed up my order twice!!! I asked to speak to the manager, but I regretted it instantly. The so-called manager was really confrontational and rude. He had a thick accent, and I could barely understand what he was saying. We decided to let it go even though we were overcharged. I'm never going back to this place of hell.
As many clubs as i've been to in DC, this one right here, hands down had the most RUDEST staff i've ever come across! It was some of the bartenders, but mainly the "security" and the people outside handling the lines. If i'm being honest here, this actually is cool spot on it's own, but it has soooo much potential to be better. Unless they replace most of their staff, lower their ridiculous drink prices, and (if possible) find a bigger venue, I don't see this place lasting long at all. It just sucks when you go out to have a good night, and people ruin it for you with their unnecessary, nasty attitudes. If you're looking to have a good time in DC, i'd advise you to go somewhere else to save yourself the headache tbh.
The atmosphere was beautiful and staff were welcoming. My friends and I enjoyed the entire experience, sharing in our Caribbean culture. I definitely look forward in experiencing more culturally inclusive shows/fetes/networking events. #kizzysoca on IG 😎
Came on a Friday. The music was good. A mix of hip hop and afro beat. Requested a song twice, 2x. Dj didn't play the song. So have fun but don't expect the dj to honor his word
Definitely, a new destination on U st. Totally replaced the music hall and I LOVE IT!! An amazing sound system, sick running led lighting,DJs and bands are undefeated!!🔥🔥💯 My, biggest concern is the inconsistent pricing from the bartenders on ALL of the drinks.... I've been charged double for the same drink that I got from across the room. Another time I wasn't even made aware of HH specials while the person next to me received an entire menu. I enjoy the TURN UP, but gotta dot those I's and cross the T's! 💯
