I found Steph through a friend of mine who sent me photos of a customer who had balayage done. I was instantly sold. Before booking, I DM'd her on instagram with how my hair currently looked and my inspiration. After a few exchanges I booked a 1/2 balayage with her. The space she works out of is lovely - it's boho and welcoming. Steph went through my recent hair history and went over in detail of what my vision was, what she thinks would work and how realistically, I would need to follow up in a few months because the first session may not get the exact results I envisioned. The process was seamless, it felt like time flew by. During the process she hung out with me and we chatted. It felt like such a personalized experience! As for the end result? Words cannot describe how beautiful and magnificent I felt. The blend was seamless and my hair color looked so natural that even I couldn't tell I just had work done. It was one of the few experiences where I didn't feel like crying when Steph finished. She NAILED it. Best of all, her products are natural, ammonia-free and smell wonderful. My hair doesn't feel damaged or irritated at all.
Steph is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend her. I have dark hair and have been trying to go lighter sustainably for a while now. I've been to a few others and my hair has been consistently damaged. Since I started going to Steph around a year ago, she has been able to get me to a fantastic lighter shade and my hair is also super healthy. She is also super consultative and creative and really works with you to get the results you want over a period of time.

I have been going to Steph for years! The best color I have ever had- looks great from the first day it is applied until the next time I see her for a touch up. I get tons of compliments on it. She also is skilled in catering treatments based on specific needs. I personally have lots of curly/coarse hair so Steph will apply moisture treatments needed to ensure I leave with not only beautiful color but healthy shiny hair.
Searching for a colorist that you trust in a new city is always a daunting task, but after one visit with Steph I was sold. That was nearly two years ago and I haven't looked back. She nails my balayage everytime, focusing on a healthy, natural and seasonal appropriate look. I highly recommend! You won't be disappointed.
