After a few other photographers tried to upcharge me thousands of dollars for a wedding photography package, I felt like I’d never find a professional photographer who would listen to my vision and be able to execute on it. In planning my wedding I learned that most vendors only listen long enough until they figure out how to pull emotional cords and then dip into my pockets. It's disgusting. This happened with venues, florists and photographers. Then I messaged Leonard. He got back to me within the hour and we were able to talk through my wants and needs and settle on a contract that was fair and equitable for both of us. I didn't need a music video of my wedding produced by a videographer. I'm not famous and didn't need tens of thousands of shots from a team of photographers. I wanted the ceremony captured in pictures, along with wedding party photos and some candids of our guests during the cocktail hour - some great shots I could post on my social accounts and something to include along with this year's Christmas card. Leonard was fully committed to this. He arrived early, set up, and began shooting. He got amazing shots of us getting ready, the ceremony, the wedding party, the guests, everything. And his turnaround time was only 8 days. I could not recommend Leonard enough.
My (now) husband and I got married in December in Central Park and Leonard happily faced the cold weather to photograph our big day. Wow, I can’t recommend Leonard enough — in an overwhelming and often intimidating haze of wedding photographers to choose from, Leonard was patient, friendly and so on top of things. Leonard took photos of our ceremony at Cop Cot in Central Park as well as our portraits afterward around the city. I was worried that taking time out of our day to take some extra photos around the city would detract from the magic of the day but Leonard made the experience fun, easy and exciting. He professionally and beautifully captured our love for each other and love for the New York City. His photos are truly enchanting. I hope I don’t get married again but if I did, I would 100 percent use Leonard!
Leonard did my wedding photos and they came out fantastic! I highly recommend him to everyone. I frequently work with photographers at my job and I had high expectations. Leonard exceeded all of them! He communicated clearly and frequently before the wedding, his pricing is transparent, he accommodated for a last minute change, he showed up early and prepared. He moved quickly during the shoot. We (bride and groom) had to leave an hour early and I was concerned Leonard would not have enough time to get quality shots but like I said, he exceeded all expectations! The photos were delivered ahead of schedule and I received many more than I expected.
Working with Leo was incredibly easy and fun. He was super accommodating of our requests, quick to respond via text, and a true professional when it came to our wedding day. The photos came out beautifully and he seemed to capture every meaningful moment perfectly. I honestly don’t know how he was able to get so many different shots, each captured with artistic flare and care. His turn around time was also very impressive; editing 952 photos in just 7 days is quite a feat! His prices are also very fair, and he did not try to upsell us with unnecessary additions to the contract. We are so glad we chose Leo for our wedding photography needs.
When we were searching for our wedding photographer, we discovered Leonard Okpor's portfolio through his website. We were immediately struck by his amazing talent for storytelling. After our consultation with Leonard, we knew that he was the photographer for our special day. Upon meeting him (and his assistant we requested) on the day of our wedding, not only were they consummate professionals, but they were an an absolute joy to work with. Some of the things that especially stand out about Leonard's photography are his use of natural lighting and his keen eye for composition. He also took the time to genuinely connect with us as the bride and groom and our loved ones. This, particularly, helped ease the stress of the day. The package we purchased is very affordable for what services are included, and he even customized certain options with us. Communication was outstanding, too. Turnaround time was surprisingly quick at only 2 weeks. The quality of the final photos were absolutely spectacular! Highly recommended.
