Working with Amanda was a great pleasure. While the service ended up being a bit more expensive than expected, the results were certainly worth the results and quality of her service. She helped to educate me about my hair and to strategize how to better manage it. For anyone with Afro-hair who struggles with managing it, this is a great place to get it styled and pick up tips for hair care.
This is my place! I get compliments EVERY SINGLE DAY about how beautiful my hair is. Granted, my locs are about waist- length, so people automatically think my hair is pretty. But, they compliment my hair color, and that's because I get my hair colored by Bahia. It's gorgeous! Do yourself a favor, go there. Get your hair retwisted, colored, both, if you can afford it $$$$!!
Absolutely wonderful experience! Everyone at the salon was so pleasant and kind. Bahia is God sent! The way she handled my hair, detangling it with the utmost care, and explaining each step made me feel so valued and comfortable. I will definitely be returning as I have never had a weave removal done so carefully and thoughtfully. She trimmed my ends to perfection and spoke life into me. Such a wonderful and nurturing experience! 👏🏾 Bravo sisters!
I went to Harlem Natural Hair Salon for the first time today to have my curly hair detangled. Amanda worked on my hair and initially estimated it would take 3-4 hours just for the detangling alone. I was mentally prepared for that prior to my arrival. Amanda made me feel comfortable especially when I asked if we could speak privately and she took me to the back where there were less people (except for 1 other client). She was gentle with the process and the detangling actually only took 1 hour! I was so relieved! She then washed, conditioned and sat me under the steamer; which I love. She even let me sit for an additional 10 minutes after my request. She then rinsed out and blew dry my hair and trimmed any dead ends. The cost of my services were much less than I anticipated including the deposit I made when making the appointment. I was so pleased that I tipped Amanda the most I've ever tipped a hair professional! Overall I enjoyed my service there and the lovely staff; everyone was pleasant and friendly. I will refer my friends & sister to this lovely establishment. My whole service time from beginning to end was exactly 2 hours.
Bahia did an excellent job on my silk press. She was fast and efficient. Plus she never burned my scalp with the blow dryer nor the flat iron...and she detangled my hair without any pain...I highly recommended this salon and Bahia.
