First time at the salon and all I can say is that Tamara is a godsend!! I went in to remove quite a bit of length, correct a bad cut from a different place, and essentially bring life back to my mane. Prior to her getting started, Tamara gave me a consult that was thorough and effortlessly tuned in with what I was looking to do. She’s an expert in her craft, plain and simple. I could not be happier with how my cut/style turned out & my hair hasn’t looked this good in a minute. I was cute before, but now I’m way cuter. The salon and environment are very welcoming and the other ladies I had the pleasure of chatting with with were also. Great vibes all around.
I just have to say I absolutely love this place! I got a haircut with Tamara and she explained everything she was doing and why. She also told me the best way to style which is so helpful now. You can tell she's super knowledgeable and loves what she does. This was the FIRST TIME I have ever left the salon looking exactly as I had hoped and envisioned in my head. Amazing! I also have very thin hair so her tips were tailored to that and not generic. This is def my new salon. She also has a beauty supply in Greenpoint which is much needed!
I’ve been in NY for a little over two years now, but this is the first place I’ve felt comfortable going to as a regular. Dendra, Tamara, and the whole team are not only extremely professional, they’re also very generous and knowledgeable — I’ve learned so much from them about how to maintain any style. Separately, the salon is extremely peaceful. It’s in pristine condition and always has relaxing music playing (anyone who has ever tried to find a permanent place to do your hair in NYC knows this kind of environment isn’t always guaranteed). I love coming here and will continue to do so until I move out of the city (whenever that is!)
This place has to be one of the best haircut and hairstyling salons in the NYC area. I have been going to Katie who's wonderful. She takes time to understand your hair and your preferences, can suggest some great ideas if you're open to them, and is amazing with the cut and styling. The hair wash is really relaxing, and she is a super fun conversationalist. Also, this is a full-service hair salon for both men and women so just go in without any props. Worth every penny!
Black owned hair salon in Greenpoint. I got a wash and braid done here. Love the service and the braids. The place is extremely spacious. I’m glad at what Tamara was able to do here. Will definitely be back!
