First time at this location and loved it. I came in time for the happy hour which was from 5pm - 8pm which is not bad. My bartender was Anthony and he was awesome. He let me know all of the deals and gave me some recommendations. He also let me that this location does do events, and karaoke on Wednesday. The events during the weekend is separate from Gem which is a bit weird. So it would be pay at the the door situation when it's later at night. Which was not a big deal for me since I was there during happy hour. I did the deal to get the jumbo shrimp and sweet potato fries and a drink for $25. Not bad at all. Definitely would consider coming back!
Cute spot in Bedstuy. Happy hour menu is extensive. Wasn't crowded and the service was pretty good. They have a variety of wing flavors and drink selections. The rum punch definitely punches! The island jerk wings were a tad bit salty but had the right amount of spice, the Buffalo and honey garlic wings were nice and saucy.
I LOVE GEMS!!!!! It's a true Brooklyn Gem. All the Best Artists and Hood Celebs from NYC party here. I was lucky enough to network with so many of them and enjoy their vibe. It gets LIT EARLY! I am here with my twin and bestie every Friday because we work hard all week, it's free if u show up in good timing and it's local. We love the vibe and urban aesthetic, it never fails us. It's just LOVELY really. The DJ is ALWAYS on point. Hip-hop, r and b, reggae, afro beats, etc. They switch it up constantly through the night. They have reasonably priced tables for your hookah and bottles on the walk in. Drinks are always on special so it seems... The guys look tf goodt, ok ... good looking and stylish, respectful and drama free. I would say the crowd is mixy. U can wear WHATEVER U WANT. Age doesn't exist in my life and I feel it doesn't exist here either. I've met cool ppl both older and younger than I. This place is PERFECT for a quick bday ball out! EVEN SHOWCASES GO DOWN! I LOVE this place!!! The first person my sister and I met was France, then we met Ray then we met the cook William then Tatiana BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!! They all made us feel comfortable. The food was so delicious!!! The drinks was on point!!! We definitely are going back!! We love this place, I definitely felt comfortable in here. Thank you all for the hospitality!!!
The music is really good. It’s very spacious. Only downside is the hookah, it gets HARSH really fast then you have to buy another or purchase a refill. The tacos are mid, but the fries and wings are good. I would recommend this place to others, just not the hookah.
