The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because some of the things that I wanted off of the menu they didn't have but nonetheless the food that I did get was delicious. And the sweet potato pie was amazing. When I'm in NY again I will be going back
Ordered on UberEats wasn’t worth it, portions were tiny. I spent over $30. $25 on the food alone and I’m still hungry smfh Green beans good flavor but the stems weren’t cut, had to rip em off individually while eating, Mac n cheese taste good but had so much butter it looked like it was drownin in oil and the yams were too sweet for me and for some reason tasted dusty? Everything had so much liquid especially the yams which leaked all over the bag and my hands.
Okay, I want to start of saying this place is clean & neat & the lady behind the counter was awesome! I believe her name was Lexi! She’s a sweetheart with excellent customer service! She even gave me a welcoming sample & that is gold! I will definitely travel back to get a few order’s! The Mac & Cheese, Yam, & Wing (forgot flavor) was DELICIOUS!!!!!
I ventured into this restaurant tonight, and I'm glad that I did. I was greeted warmly and asked what I was interested in. Since it was my first time, I was offered a small sample. I was asked if I ate meat. When I said yes, then I was presented with a small sample of the Mac & Cheese, a piece of Candied Yam, and a Sweet Chilli Wing flat. The Candied Yam was my favorite, becasue I'm into sweet eats. I also enjoyed the Mac & Cheese and wing. I ended up buying an order some Jerk Wingettes, an order of the Sweet Chilli Wingettes, an order of Fried Whiting, and a slice of Lemon Cake. (I heard from a friend that the Hennessey Wingettes are good too!) The Jerk Chicken wings weren't as spicy as I thought it would've been. So, if you're not into food that's too spicy, I think you can give the Jerk Wingettes a try. My mom enjoyed the whiting, and my family enjoyed the wings. I also got to sample the collard greens. They were very flavorful and are cooked with turkey. The establishment was well-lit with a grey, black, and red color scheme. I especially enjoyed seeing the roses. The company does catering and has a separate catering menu from their regular menu. I will visit again in the future to try other menu items.
The picture explains it all. I didn't even get a chance to take a picture before Nothing but bones left. Lml. Food was amazing, Yams definitely marinaded in love.all the food was seasoned to perfection, like MaMa in that kitchen. Good portions, service was amazing, and they also put some extra food in the bag. I just ordered me some for lunch, so I'll attach that before picture it to this.Thank you for providing us with some Really good Soul food.
