Had an amazing experience here! We met Anastasia (Annie) who was the absolute sweetest. She went in detail about their different selections of cakes and cupcakes AND you get a free slice on your first visit! Their pistachio and red velvet cupcakes are out of this world. Thank you again, we’ll definitely be back 🥰
I just know I gained about 15 lbs in two days! So a friend of mine told me about this place and I decided to try it out for the first time since I was in BK. I purchased a slice of red velvet, lemon, strawberry, and carrot cake! It was so freaking good, I came all the way back from CT to get another slice of lemon, red velvet, Oreo, and banana pudding!
Wow wow wow! Upon entering this place it smelled so heavenly. Just like fresh cakes and cupcakes being pulled out of the oven at that very moment. The owner was gracious enough to offer me a free dozen cupcakes to pick up for my friends birthday as we were visiting from GA and I found them on Yelp. I couldn't just part with cupcakes as the display case screamed my name. I had the yellow cake with chocolate frosting, one friend had cookies and cream cake while another had the pineapple upside down cake slice. All were superb. The Red Velvet cupcakes were definitely my favorite as I'm a Southern girl ❤️ Just missing pecans.
Banana pudding was really good. Peach cobbler kinda gross……It’s one of those “the baker put their own twist to it” and it is not good at all to me. Just sugar mush in a bowl. Got a free slice of cake since it was my first visit. Vanilla cake with vanilla frosting was gross and tasted old. I should’ve went for the yellow cake with chocolate frosting but that chocolate frosting was too lightskin so I was skeptical about the taste. Didn’t think vanilla could be messed up but it was. Frosting tasted like it had lard in it. Super gross. See southern people have different taste buds and it’s not always good. I’ll stick to the Italian bakeries in Brooklyn. So far the soul food and bakeries are bogus and gross. No consistency in anything they make. I’m losing faith in my own people. They’re all getting too comfortable with mediocre food especially between Brownsville and Bedstuy.
My Uncle just recently purchased my sons Graduation cake(Red Velvet) from this establishment. This cake was the hit of the party! Will definitely be making this place the new purchase place for all family celebrations to come! Thank you!
