Operating as a unique haven for artists of all disciplines, Dapper Studios offers a clean canvas for ideas to flourish. The space features a variety of lights, backdrops, and a host of other items. Aside from the physical space, Dapper Studios has a team of creatives from varied backgrounds who can provide consultation to help you elevate your passion project. I've added a few photos from an exhibition that I put together with assistance from the DS team.
This studio is a beautiful space with large windows that allow for amazing natural lighting. Clean White Walls and Floors. It's my favorite studio in Brooklyn for shooting content.
Super unprofessional. I was so excited to have a photography studio so close to my house. I model and do cosplay so I am looking for a place to create. I found them via Google and the website had no phone or social media I emailed to ask if the following Sunday was open at 11 am for two hours and they emailed me back to say yes and the rates were normally 75 per hour but if I wanted a monthly membership we could talk more I asked what those rates were and he didn’t answer but I assumed he was busy and the day of I got ready (which takes several hours) and got in a cab It was freezin out and no one answered when I got there. My photographer arrived who drove from Long Island. Someone let us into the building but dapper was not open I had emailed Nick the person who initially answered me and he finally answered me. An hour later. To say it was not confirmed I belive it was not confirmed becuase I am not dapper enough for this business and I do not suit their aesthetic. I am an over 40 cosplay and lingerie model. Maybe that’s not thier cup of tea Maybe they don’t like what’s going on around this part of Brooklyn but if you thought I was part of some sort of gentrification process. Think again. My dad is from Flatbush and my mom is from Canarsie This was an awful way to be treated as a potential customer and neighbor
I've spent a lot of time in and around this studio over the last few years. From working on arrangements, hosting a floral workshop, meetings, and just occupying the space, I have never not felt welcomed nor felt that the space was limited. The studio is situated within the southeastern corner of the building allowing for ample natural sunlight especially during the morning hours. The operable windows allow a breeze to flow through the space, much needed during the warmer months. Neighbors are quiet, a plus when trying to get work done. The building itself hosts a common restroom and utility sink for everyone on the floor to utilize. The studio is also conveniently located within walking distance from Broadway Junction and the L train, which makes for easy access from most areas of Brooklyn.
Vibrant, Rich, and Highly Quality are just a few words to describe the prints I order through Dapper Studios. I needed a series of visual pieces to place in my home, and the process with Dapper Lou was effortless. I received a thorough consultation on which images would best enhance my space. We discussed scale, proportions, color, my aesthetics and overall "vibe" of my home. We choose striking, meaningful images that told a story. I received my prints within a couple of days and was extremely satisfied...they are AMAZING! The COLOR, WEIGHT, and TEXTURE was top notch! I can't wait to place my photos...I lOVE them and definitely plan on ordering more.
