We happened upon this place by accident one day. A HAPPY ACCIDENT! Unfortunately, we came toward the end of the day and most of the cakes were gone so I wasn't able to sample many of them. However, the ones I did sample were absolutely delicious. In fact, #SuperHubs said if we ever have to bring a pound cake for a party, we'll be purchasing it from Legacy. When we first entered, I realized that the mask was mandatory. I'm assuming it's because the space is so small, but l'm okay with that. The smell was enough to make me wanna stay even while wearing a mask. Those delicious scents wafting from the kitchen were a beacon! The lady who assisted us was super friendly and told us her faves, so we purchased a couple of different kinds based on her recommendation. I admit, she was right and we were pleased! The place was clean and neat and decorated in the cutest colors (black, white, & teal green). If you're looking for an excellent pound cake, go by and try ‘em!
I have always gotten cakes from them. Two of the flavors were sold out I decided to try something new Chocolate pound; a little dry and I’ve never experienced this.
Was across the street eating dinner at Fat Dogs when I saw this place. Please, do yourself a favor and visit. It would be easy to drive by this little place if you’re not paying attention, but put it in your GPS and be on the look out! I swear there are about 20 flavors to choose from, but after speaking with the lady, not all are available every single day. And let’s get real, it’s a bit unreasonable to expect someone to bake that many pound cakes each day, just for them to go to waste. But she keeps the classics on hand. I tried the rum and cheesecake pound cake and yes yes yes! I got my hubs an m&m cookie and nearly ate the whole thing. And these are not average sized cookies, they are well worth every penny! And I saw someone complain about price, baking is a labor of love and it’s worth paying for good food to support a local business. And, it’s not like you’re given a skimpy slice of cake, these slices could easily be eaten on for a couple days, if you have self control 😂
I have been purchasing pounds cakes from her for a couple of years. This is the BEST CAKE on the market. The Banana Pudding will bring tears to your eyes. I love the buttery smell when you walk into the place. This place will always have my support. I wish I could give her more stars.
On a scale of 1 to 5, this cake is a solid TEN!!! My 92 year old mother has been yearning for pound cake like she remembers from her youth. This definitely made her birthday special. Thank you Miss Margaret Elaine for carrying on the tradition!
