Today was my first dance class in 15 years. I chose to challenge myself with a beginners hip hop (ballet was always my go-to), and Alex’s class was incredible! Not only was the class super fun, it was also a safe space to be vulnerable and free. No judgement, no cattiness, just people having fun. If you are thinking of trying out hip hop, take this class! You will not be disappointed, and you’ll leave feeling confident, fulfilled, and thirsty for more!
The BEST place to be is NCDD!!! If you need a space to release, have a good time, and feel empowered while dancing, you found the best spot in NC! I’ve been coming here for 3 years, and this place has changed my life. From the weekly hip hop classes ranging from Beginner to Advance , to special performance opportunities such as project full out, there is something here for EVERYONE! Don’t be afraid or shy to come enjoy yourself- their doors are wide open and they are ready to welcome you into the Dance District family !!
I haven’t danced in a studio in 7 years—Jerome was the BEST dance instructor & brilliant choreographer I could’ve ever had for my first time back in so long. I really think I got lucky getting someone who shares my passion for paying attention to each layer of a track & incorporating even the whispers the singer makes into a purposeful dance movement. I had a lot of fun & appreciated his genuine encouragement & teaching style as we all tried to absorb the choreography, but also have a good time! You’ll love how funny he is & the support he offers throughout the class—can’t wait to come back!!

NC Dance District is my home away from home! I spend half of my week here! Everyone is so nice and welcoming, i could not ask for a better experience.
