Do not trust this dentist office! Horrible office staff and unreliable information. They will tell you that you are covered for treatment, and give you a treatment summary that means absolutely nothing. I asked and was told that my services were covered and my insurance was in network and that was not the case. If you look at the reviews you will see they do this many times to people and then you're left with an outrageous bill (thousands of dollars for a couple of fillings) that is more than if you went to a dentist and had no insurance. I have reported them to the BBB and am sending a complaint to the Board of Dentistry for their unethical business practices. They will do unnecessary work that is not needed and you will be stuck with the bill. Please go somewhere else. They do not deserve your money!
It was absolutely horrible. It was all about the money money money. The red flags were everywhere. I’ve been doing regular cleaning for decades and all of a sudden, they want to sell me deep cleaning that I don’t need. Stay away, if you can.
To me very suspect. My first visit there I was asking for cleaning and xrays. They did the xrays. The exam was relatively low tech. I asked about if they build there own crowns in house. They do not. Most doctors offices can do that these days to save time/money/effort. They said they didn't have time for the cleaning and that I had to do upgraded cleaning because I had some 4's for gum depth. I have never heard of that. My last doctor saw the same thing for years and did not have the same recommendation. Did some research afterwords. Insurance considers the medically unnecessary. Even if you have mild bleeding doing a better job flossing should resolve that issue. They said I owed $54 dollars and would have to schedule the cleaning for some other time. I asked what is for a standard clean. They refused to answer that question saying we suggest you get the upgraded cleaning. This dentistry is simply forcefully pushing upsale services hard. I said I need some time to get back to them. I than asked how much I needed to pay for the visit. They said nothing because insurance covered everything. There is so many things wrong here. Why insist on doing procedures your patient does not want? Why did they not allocate enough time to do cleanings? Why am I prepaying for services not yet rendered? No dentistry I should have to forceful push services if they are any good. They only take PPO (probably for the higher bill rates) but they don't seem to be even an up to date dentist. Smells like a profit motivated dentistry. So many red flags....
The environment and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Everyone did an amazing job of helping me feel informed, confident, and comfortable during my visit. Dr. Taj and team really made my visit pleasant and got me out of pain quickly.
I had a dental emergency in the middle of the night and was able to get in the very next morning. I have a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist because of some bad prior experiences, but the staff at Modern Family Dental made me feel very at ease. Dr. Rogers was thorough with explaining what was going on and took time to address my questions. The assistant and front desk staff were all so friendly and accommodating as well. The atmosphere is very welcoming and you can just tell that they truly care about their patients.
