Highly recommend this restaurant. Homemade, comfort, country, delicious food! The servers was excellent. We had a variety of food on our plate and all of it was delicious. The decorations was so calm and welcomed. You definitely cannot go wrong eating here!!
Our party had: Appetizers- Fried veggie appetizers, which were hot and excellent; sweet potato biscuits, which were not hot/warm and were not baked/made, or, topped with butter. Entrees- fried steak, Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes/gravy and turnip greens, which all were barely warm but tasty; Stew beef with rice, (eater said was not seasoned) and the beef gravy was very starchy; ribs and fried chicken (both eaters stated were good); Grilled cheese and fries (eater said was good). Deserts- We all tasted each others deserts. Eater did not like the Sweet potato pie and Peach cobbler was okay…but if both were made with butter, they would’ve been better, perhaps; Chocolate cake was good: Chocolate pecan pie was scrumptious; Banana pudding was okay. Ice cream was good, per the kiddos. Waitress was attentive.Brought out condiments before we could ask👍🏿. Very friendly staff. Overall, very good meal experience for the group of picky adults and kiddos. BTW, the restroom was CLEAN. I’ve only experienced clean restrooms in Chapel Hill restaurants at the Carolina Inn, and Stoney River…
We went as a group yesterday evening and loved our experience. The food was absolutely delicious and everyone loved what they got (including our vegetarian). I had the chicken livers which were cooked perfectly. At the end we had strawberry shortcake which was divine and hands down the best I've ever had. The staff was super friendly and kind. Overall an excellent experience and we can't wait to return next time we are on town!
We had our grandson's wedding rehearsal dinner here. The food was wonderful and the staff helped us celebrate this great occasion.
Food and service was Excellent...Whoever great Granny fried that chicken I need you to tea h me!!!
