I won’t soon forget the lovely experience I had shopping for my bridal gown at Gavin Christianson! The shop is situated in Downtown Durham and has an elegant-industrial vibe. The selection of dresses for a plus size bride seemed endless. I have been to other shops with such limited styles for plus brides, this shop was so refreshing in the fact that every style I wanted to try, I was able to. Gineen pulled out all the stops for my and my guests during our VIP consultation. She was super attentive to my likes and dislikes, even down to the type of champagne I enjoy. She was able to pick up on my style so well that I ended up falling in love with the dress she picked out for me. I’m SO happy that I was able to say yes to the dress at Gavin Christianson Bridal!
I had an amazing experience from the time we entered to the time we left. They made us feel so welcomed and were so patient in finding the perfect dress for me. I worked with Kayla and she was a true delight. She called me weeks before to get to know me and what I was looking for. And I sent over pictures of dress inspirations. When I arrived she had multiple dresses already picked out that were within my vision and price range. I said yes to the dress and I couldn’t be more happy about my decision. Thank you for making this process so easy!
I came today for a bridal appointment. I was very excited for my appointment at GCB. I spoke to a lady the day before to confirm my appointment and told them what I was looking for. She seemed knowledgeable and a great bridal consultant. I arrived and Kayla helped me with gowns. She was very pleasant and friendly. However, we just could not find the dress at the beginning. I heard her ask for assistance from the manager. I wanted to find my gown from CB but the manager was totally opposite from Kayla. She seemed annoyed and came off as if "if this isn’t the dress why are you here". I found one dress I loved but I couldn't say yes because of the manager. My experience was horrible bc of the manager. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
I said yes to the dress at Gavin Christianson Bridal yesterday. I had such a great experience working with Gineen. She was very informative and helpful in finding a gown that fit my style and price range. She made me feel very comfortable throughout the process. I would definitely recommend this bridal boutique!
This is one of the few bridal places in the area that has a wonderful selection of plus size dresses. Kayla was extremely helpful and had a lot of patience with me as I was trying to figure out the type of dress I wanted...especially since my mom and I had different views. She was good at asking questions of what I liked and didn't like, while not pressuring me.
