I've been attending this fellowship for five years and have found it to be a welcoming congregation of people. There are small groups that attend to the needs of many different people. When I was ill recently I was offered meals and a person came over to my house and brought me flowers. The people there just wrap me in love every time I go there. It's a "deeds not creeds" sort of place where service to others appears to be one of the prime values.

Surely one of the most dynamic congregations in the Triangle. There is a keen focus on human rights. Everyone is welcome. No cliques here! The music is exceptional! There are many events to choose from -- potlucks, lectures (the latest on the benefits of going vegan), coffee before and after church (best in Durham), and trips (to Nicaragua next winter). Definitely worth a look. It also has a beautiful campus.

Very fun place to be, as well as to be yourself without public discrimination. these people are like a family to me, I came in spritually broken, feeling like a item no longer useful. They helped me and those around me too, not because they haven't been through what I have been through, but because some of them have gone through what I went through in my younger life before going there. Not only was I healed, I became stronger, made friends, bonds that will last a lifetime to most, but most importantly, I found the love of my life there and she knows who is. One day, those who have broken me, came to me I thought about the preachings they say every Sunday I go there, those people tried to shame me call me out and bring out the worst in me I didn't let them not again. So those people left and I felt at peace after I talked with them instead of the trash talking. If you ever feel broken beaten or feeling lost in your ways, go there you don't have to agree to what they preach but just listen and you'll eventually see how you can apply those words to your self. You will see that those words can be applied if you listen carefully.

This congregation caters to all, everyone is welcome. There is no Christian theme but we do take quotes and lessons and music from any religion including Christianity. I am not a Christian and I have been a UU for years and coming here with my family for two years. This is where the best community members of Durham and the surrounding area come to celebrate our spirituality.

We have gone twice so far. The messages have been community service and love God through loving each other. There are readings from different religions. It's very inclusive. There is a "noisy" room where kids can draw and play and parents can still see and hear the service.
