A great find! I work in tv/ film production so have seen a lot of make up artist in my day. Working with Ebony of Custom Eyes Beauty was great. She was so personable, chill, flexible, professional, artistic, creative, and problem solving/skillful in her approach to any questions suggestions or ideas I brought up. I’m always a little weary when getting make up done for an occasion because iconic looks are subjective. I wanted dewy, very natural, little to no foundation. So I didn’t want make up to be caked on but still wanted to serve up glamour and boldness. Ebony achieved this for me and the compliments kept coming! The most important thing, however, was I really felt beautiful and comfortable in my own skin. Ebony took the time to get to know me and my style during our consultation session few weeks before my ceremony. I am one that doesn’t like a lot of foundation, I need to feel like myself, BUT I still wanted glamour. She was patient with me. After doing a full look, I wanted to try less foundation/ blush and some new things with my eyes. She did a different look and gave ideas that added to my overall vision. She was the first that gave me ideas of iridescence with my jewelry how that can play off my dress and make up, and thought of ways to incorporate an ombre style of color in my eyes yet not over the top doing too much. In the end it was a perfect blend of softness/natural and boldness/ sparkle for the cameras to pick up as well. Those in my bridal party who utilized her services felt very taken care of. One of the complements my husband gave me after was “ooo I noticed when I looked at yo that you looked like yourself”. That meant a lot because on the day of marrying someone I wanted to be as much as my fullest freest self as I could. Ebony ROCKED IT it and really took care of me in ways that are unexplainable. One less thing to worry about on such a big day!
Ebony did the hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and I. Her work is beautiful and tailored to each person's skin and personality. She was punctual and professional, but also funny and personable. I have and will continue to work with her for my haircare needs and make up.
I am so happy I chose Ebony tov be my stylist! She was so patient and accessible - which is HUGE for brides! Thank you for walking me through the process and ensuring I was happy with my final look! **FYI I am 100% natural. She styled my natural hair, it withstood hot my July wedding, wind, and dancing all night!!
I had the great pleasure of receiving both my bridal hair and makeup from Ebony. Just the ambiance of her shop leaves one feeling calm and serene! Ebony was super professional, kind, and informative. Finding her just a few weeks before my wedding, she helped in the full process of my hair, makeup, and makeup for my two bridesmaids. We are three who do not wear a lot of makeup, but she “enhanced our beauty” as she put it, in such a natural way! This may have been our first time in her shop, but it will definitely not be the last!!!
