A hidden jewel in Olney! The service is great (EVERYONE has a smile) and they go above and beyond to ensure their guests are pleased. Just wish the place was a bit larger, but I’ll learn to get out of bed and get there early! And the food?? Oh my, the food! Best Reuben sandwich I’ve had in years. I believe we eat with our eyes, before a bite ever enters our mouth. I was certainly full just from the optics of this one. Certainly exceeded my expectations! Good job, Scratch team!
We had a fantastic experience at Scratch Kitchen which is run by a Cantabrigian (from Cambridge MA). I had a great feta and spinach omelette and my wife had a hummus platter. Both were fresh, well made, and tasty. I highly recommend giving Scratch a try.
Whether eating, indoors or outside, the quality and flavor of the food is fantastic. The breakfast holds me through lunch, so the price tag spread over two meals turns into a bargain. Breakfast first thing in the morning is pleasant because none of the other businesses are open yet. Most importantly, The staff is truly interested in providing good food and service.
Came here for a low key breakfast. Initially ordered French toast but all I could taste was raw eggs which I hate. The owner was so understanding and quickly accommodated my ask for pancakes instead. The pancakes were delicious and the blueberries on top tasted farm fresh. The best part was the coffee which was bold and flavorful.
A cozy little place! I happened to stumble across an article about it and since it's in my area I looked at their menu online. Dropped by and was surprised they had so much more. It was hard to decide what to get, but that means I'll have to come back. Was greeted and welcomed when I walked in and the service was fast, friendly, and authentic. I ended up getting the breakfast platter with sausage. I love how they use local ingredients and purveyors and give you three eggs and sausage links! It was tasty and enough for me to feel satisfied and not hating myself lol.
