Called at 6AM this morning making sure the establishment was opened (due to the business not being consistent with the business hours every day). No one wants to drive out their way, that isn't opened for business!! The owner (or someone who could've been a male worker) answered the phone stating "they were open". Well to my behold, I drove all the way down St. Clair, and they were in FACT CLOSED. It is so sad that black businesses don't actually care for the thriving of their business or appreciation of their customers, especially being located in the area they're in. Now, when the topic of gentrification is talked about, ppl like this will cry and sob as if they didn't have the opportunity to overcome and triumph the odds of a successful black owned business in a predominately black community and... it isn't because ppl doesn't support the business, it's because of the property management/owner lacks the diligence, perseverance, persistence and dedication. Such a shame smh. This shop has not been the same ever since the original owner stepped down and handed it over. In the words of Judge Mathis "You a cra...." chilleeee anyways, let me find a real business owner in Cleveland. I do not play about my morning cravings!! they really blew me with this!
I came for the donuts but they were out at 11a on a Saturday. I was very disappointed so I settled for a polish poe boy. It was just ok. I wish they were better prepared to serve customers especially after they were on the news a couple of nights ago soliciting business.
I went there because of a promo spot I saw on the local news and it was as good as advertised. Great little shop with extremely friendly staff! Unfortunately I missed out on the doughnuts ☹ (for future reference its a shop NOT a bakery so when the doughnuts are gone..they're GONE!) which are so widely popular that ppl are waiting before they even open. However..they also have Chicken Wings,Polish Boys & Chili Dogs (which were delicious!) I look forward to going back for those doughnuts and the hospitality!
Great prices, the BEST DONUTS, Polish Boys, & Wings in the city. I enjoy the great customer service I receive & it feels like home whenever I am there. My co-workers & friends frequent this spot too. It's WORTH IT!
BEST. DONUTS. EVER. The lemon filing is too die for & the coconut! O.M.G!! The staff is always friendly, even at 7am. The donuts are made fresh, each day, but once they run out, that's it. So, get'em when you see'em. LOL
