I was looking for a social group for my child. I found them online. In the past 2 months I have called 3 times and spoked to the same person each time and I was told that their coordinator will call me which never happened! Even once I asked her that can you please ask her to call me because I have been waiting and my kid is asking me if I heard back from you everyday. It was nice if she was more clear and professional !!!! This is a red flag that with the amount of money they are charging this office is not a good place..
I previously went to a well-publicized place for TMS - you'll have heard their ads on radio. I went here instead when I needed treatment again and the difference is amazing. Instead of a staring at a TV there's someone sitting with you all the time. (Note that TMS works better if your mind is active.) Haejin started laughing at my jokes after we'd gotten to know each other a bit and was fine with my chatting away. But it's not something they insist on, just that someone's there with you. She was also my connection to the rest of the staff, keeping them, especially Dr. Greenberger, up to date. He consults several times, when you start, part way through, and afterwards. I was wary at first because I'd had a bad experience, he reassured me it would be okay and checked in about a week later. TMS is an amazing treatment for chronic depression, magnetic pulses to one side of your head realigning the pathways. I don't know why more professionals don't recommend it but I strongly recommend it myself. I've been depressed all my life, one day I realized that my mind was clear and I was starting to step into an entirely new one. I've done a lot of research over the years: if you or a person you know has chronic depression, especially if you're a school counselor or other person who sees someone who's clinically depressed, look to TMS. Please. No one should have to wait as long as I did. Having tried TMS with both do it with someone good who actively works with you. Collaborative Counseling is the only private practice I've found and they're very good indeed. I'm sorry to say goodbye to them but amazed that I'm ready to go out on my own. I'll add that even if they're farther away than you'd like to drive go to Collaborative Counseling. If you can't get yourself there every day invest in using Uber or Lyft. As you get better you'll use them less and less.
I’ve gone here on and off for the past four years. I was working with Mrs. Love and had the most amazing experience. Everyone there truly cares about you and your well-being.
