Prices are relatively high 8.50 and upwards for a sandwich. However the views/ambience are worth it as an occasional treat. Service was excellent. If eating outside then watch out for wasps. They were also happy to see e up 2 sausage, cooled and chopped for my dog.
Berry Head has stunning views of the coast and the Guardhouse cafe is situated by the entrance to the headland which is also home to the lighthouse and Napoleonic fort. We had two soya cappuccinos and shared a delicious chocolate cake. With seating inside and out, this is the most delightful place to sit and relax and watch the world go by. Veggie, vegan and GF options available. The staff understand customer service and are very polite and attentive. Will definitely return.
Delightful lunchtime experience at the Guardhouse Cafe yesterday. I visited a packed cafe with my grandson on a blustery day and as soon as we entered the cafe we were met by very helpful staff who went out of their way to accommodate me parking my mobility scooter in a corner. Food and drinks are fresh and exceptionally tasty. I love the warning on the “violent” condiments! Nice to see the daily specials board, and some “events” on selected evenings eg live music, BBQ. Will definitely visit again, highly recommended.
Stopped here on a lovely walk out of Brixham to Berry Head. The service and food were great, well deserving of their awards. We shared the halloumi and a crab sandwich- both delicious and a surprisingly good combination. The iced coffee was all the better for coffee ice cubes- what a great idea! Highly recommend
A fabulous find during our week's holiday - we came back twice. Varied menu with great sandwiches, soup and a good range of drinks. My highlight was the hake special - a veritable work of art, that tasted as good as it looked. All with amazing coastal views and friendly, efficient service.
