Came here for Happy Hour for my homie birthday 4/20. We came around 6:30pm it wasn't crowded, no wait, drinks were strong, food was delicious & the vibes was really nice! I would definitely recommend this place & I'm definitely going back.

The food is always good at Soulfed Philly! Luckily we had a variety of their food to eat this time because the skinny pieces of fried fish alone wouldn't have done nothing lol, but it was still good. We had the seafood fries, fried fish, king special (fried fish, fried shrimps & fries), side of broccoli and corn. And I wish they bring back some tartar sauce....we were told they stop making it because ppl weren't eating it, well every seafood spot should always have tartar sauce regardless. And our waitress was the best, she was on point still while waiting a bunch of tables.

Clean, air conditioning works. Now on to the food, I wasn't impressed. The food came out fast but wasn't temped correctly. Everything was cool. The steamed shrimp were undercooked and the sauce was not for steamed shrimp. We got the "crowd favorite" sauce. ๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคฎ The service wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. I came from Lancaster with high hopes. I wouldn't recommend traveling to Philly just for the soulfed๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿผ

Food was good, the crab legs ,shrimp and mussels were amazing, the drinks are really good, the staff is friendly, I feel like there couldโ€™ve been more sauce on my platter (forgot the name of it, I wanna say it was seafood fries) but the sauce was thinly layered on top so once you ate that it was regular fries to me . Overall experience was great , itโ€™s alil small inside but it works . Iโ€™d definitely go back to sit at the bar and try more drinks!

Update: If you go, be patient and prepared for a wait for food even if it's not crowded. However, the food is good. As stated below, I have returned twice this week. On Wednesday, I stopped by during Happy Hour. One frozen drink machine was down, and I got the last frozen drink from another. I was a little disappointed, but I came there for the seafood anyway. I order crab fries which were $7, down from $10, two pounds of snow crabs, and fried whiting. The crab fries were an absolute delight and will be my go to order from now on. The snow crabs were closer to the texture I like when eating seafood and were cooked better this time, possibly because I got there before the crowd. In the future, I will ask for my sauce on the side. It might make me sound a little boogie, but it's a lot and it makes a huge mess. Lastly, my fish was fried to perfection again! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ Last night, I returned! I ordered crab fries, a dozen fried shrimp, and a side of corn on the cob. I was not disappointed. The shrimp had great flavor and was not overly cooked. The crab fries never disappoint and even the corn was a pleasure. I am happy that I gave this black business another chance. I will most definitely return. Original Post: Despite the review I am about to give, I will visit this location again. The restaurant was packed with a 30 minute wait for takeout. Almost all seats for dining in were taken and a line was consistent. First and foremost, my fried whiting was delicious and crispy. My seafood fries were a good. However, I have suggestions. The shrimps need seasoning and the fries were a little salty. I still will order them again, though. Lastly, my shrimps and snow crabs were overcooked and dry. I think this is because the place was so packed. For this reason, I will give the restaurant another chance. The sauces are flavorful, but I think the struggle is with the shrimp and overcooking.
