I would recommend finding another counseling practice. This practices billing office charged my card $240 & $54 for no reason, now my account has a credit and then the billing office continued to charge my card for services rendered. At one point we had a $500 credit in the account. The Billing office forgot to charge for 3 appointments in March and then in June charged for those 3 appointments. They were charging the wrong amounts, although the amount was close to what the Insurance Company said I should be paying. When I brought all this up to Candace, the owner, she said she would look into it. I called over a week ago & left a message. Apparently, she is still "looking into it" because I have yet to hear from her. It took me over 3 hours to try to understand all the mistakes that the billing office made with regards to my account and I'm a bookkeeper. I canceled the card so the billing office can't randomly charge me anymore.
I enjoyed my sessions with Candace. She was absolutely wonderful. I ran into some scheduling conflicts, life for crazy, and I just never rescheduled. She has a wide range of schedule availability which I could see as a positive for some people but my appointments were just too late in the day. I kept forgetting about them until the last minute (would sometimes show up tardy) and I missed one altogether. I would definitely recommend Candace Johnson of Purposefully Soaring.
Just an overall bad experience. I was listening more than I was being heard. My therapist was always late, cutting into the hour I paid for. Remembered nothing about me. Talked to me about other patients. Just horrible. Thank goodness I found another therapist that showed me how therapy really works. Candace should really consider more carefully who she employs.
Purposefully Soaring has been excellent with my child. Understanding and compassionate and straight forward. Helping to keep a balance in a turbulent time.
A very good friend of mine recommended this place to me a little over 3 months ago.I had recently lost my cousin and was in a dark place.I went and had a session with Mrs.Shayla and it went very well.Fast forward to Jan 22 2020. I just happen to look at my bank account and this place took $80 out my account without any warning.I talked to the owner that day Mrs.Candace and she could not come up with answer for me but kept putting the blame on me for my deductible and etc etc.She also said that she had JUST got claim back from my insurance (AETNA).I called Aetna today to verify her story since I also work in the health field and have never heard anything like this.They told me she just sent that claim in this month and on the JAN 22 2020 is when she got the paper work.I am annoyed and upset!! She not only took my money out of my account 3 months after the fact WITHOUT even a phone call BUT ALSO LIED TO ME AND TRIED TO BLAME IT ON ME.I WOULD NOT RECCOMEMED THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY. 0 STARS
