Absolutely LOVE my three little girls braids! Kari and her stylists were AMAZING and so caring with them. I highly recommend this place! It was a relaxing, clean environment and we are definitely going back again and again. We finally found our new go to braiders!
Love the braids but I shouldn’t have had to wait a hour and 30 for a appointment that was already scheduled 2 days prior.. Then the girl was rough handling my head. Also , there was some type of festival going on outside that they were able to see from their window, they were able to see cars getting towed, & anyone who parked along the street got a tow and I feel like they could’ve warned their customers about it so they wouldn’t get a tow. Like I said I love the braids the girl did a good job but I honestly wouldn’t go back.
I’ve been going here for two years. I’ve always kept quiet about the work they do because I want to support black owned businesses. But I was there a few weeks ago they really messed up my hair like it was bad, they offered to re do it free of charge. Fine. I came back it’s been maybe two weeks all the braids are becoming unraveled. In two years I’ve waited out in the cold for 30-45 min waiting on a braider who over slept. I’ve sat in chairs for far too long while my braider left for lunch, make phone calls, do other things. I get they have lives, but I can’t leave clients outside because I forgot I had to work. I can’t eat food and then put my hand on my clients face. I’ve always generously tipped no matter the circumstances, when they’ve charged me extra after I confirmed a price. I get good braiders are hard to come by but that shouldn’t mean putting your clientele through the wringer because you can.
Francois did excellent work on my hair. I called requesting her services on a Sunday at 9am. She was pleasant and professional. She accepted the same day appointment with ease. She had me in by 11:30 sharp and out by 3pm. My hair is extremely neat and tight with no tension pull on my hair. Truly providing a stylish protective style. Her price is affordable and her service is exceptional. If you’re looking for a great braiding stylist for box braids, crochets, corn rows, or twists! Go to Kari’s Braiding and Beauty Studio you will leave feeling like a Queen. I will surely be back and have found a stylist for my princesses as well. Kari’s Braiding and Beauty Studio is exceptional.
This is my third time getting my hair braided at Karis. I’ve had 3 different stylist each time all three have been good. If I have to choose, Michelle was my favorite thus far. The salon is clean and you are seen at your scheduled time.
