We brought a group to this restaurant and they worked with us for weeks and reserved a nice space for us in spite of our not knowing if there would be 15 or 25. Luckily it was closer to the higher number. Their flexibility was fantastic and the food was even better. They let us order off a la crate in spite of our size. Most restaurants would have required a preset menu for a group that large. The space was large with many historic touches. The JR Masterman Class of 1976 thanks you and we will support you for years to come.
We were excited and a little disappointed that they we’re trying to push everybody of the restaurant on 09/09/2023 because they close at 3 pm.We came because we saw the restaurant on FYI (abc 6). We were sad to discover that they aren’t open on Saturday nights . But , were happy to be there and the food , drinks and service were excellent. But thought we would see a better menu then the one we were presented with. The website and FYI reported a better menu that wasn’t available too us. I really wanted to try the fried lobster but it wasn’t available on the menu. . We may not come back because we would like to know when the other part of the menu is available. I’m always proud to support Black Owned Businesses .We did ask to speak to management was told they were not available. Please note My parents owned a black owned catering company in Pittsburgh, Pa. So I know the struggle. All I ask we ( blacks ) should do better and take this review and learn from it. I belong to a very large organization ( black ) who can help your business . Don’t shoot them messenger. We will be back.

I went here for brunch with my Sister. We went first thing in the morning on a Saturday. There were a few tables seated. The service we received was top notch. The young gentleman who took care of us (I wish I remembered his name- light skinned guy) - he treated us so well. It was as if we were the only seated table in the restaurant. The food was delicious! We ordered three entrees and split them. Everything tasted really good and was piping hot. The atmosphere could use a little more sprucing up but overall our experience was fantastic and we would definitely come back again.
As much as I wanted this to be a "go-to" place for me, it won't be. We had brunch here this past Sunday and couldn't tell if they were understaffed or generally disorganized with slow service. We watched a family walk out after waiting for their order to be taken, a couple being served their food in increments because items were forgotten or wrong, and another duo complain about their food not being what was asked for. In regard to our personal experience, it was slow, but our waitress was nice. A food item was forgotten, and was finally brought out as we were finishing up, we had to flag someone down for a water refill, I wanted another adult beverage but didn’t bother because I didn't want to wait 20 minutes for pineapple juice and champagne. Perhaps it was an off day and maybe I'll try again... I say... give it a try and go with good company to help pass the time.
