I don’t understand how anyone could give this restaurant a 1star? If you’ve actually eaten at this restaurant then you would know about the great food & service. The food is amazing, I already started eating before I decided to take a pic 😋. The owner/chef works hard, he’s very personable and take great pride in his food. There’s a fine dining side, where you can reserve a table or the space for an event & there’s also a take out side. Great addition to the Poconos area. Do yourself a favor & try it out, you won’t be disappointed!
Food taste good. Enough quantity for the price. Limited seats for dine in. I recommend to try goat curry and ox tail QN : chicken wings and jerk chicken have only 1* rating
This is a hidden gem in Pa. We had jerk chicken, curry goat, and oxtail with rice and peas, extra gravy. We also had Chef Shaine's ackee saltfish. It's delicious! Don't forget to pick up a bottle or two of ginger beer. Highly recommend it. Edit: Read some negative reviews, I would like some folks to understand that this is not McDonald's. The delicious food is not processed in a factory. The chefs put their heart into making the food in a kitchen. It can take hours for them to make. Because of this for most Caribbean restaurants, some foods are limited at near closing. If there's a dish or two that I planned to order, I usually call in advance.
I am from NY where there is so much variety of food on almost every corner and almost every place is so good. Since I’ve moved to PA I’ve been trying to find the best of all my favorites (Spanish, Asian, Caribbean, and Pizza/Italian) I’ve found decent places for everything except Caribbean until today! I haven’t had the pleasure of going to Caribbean Deck Cafe, but I just went to the food truck today and the service was great! Also, the food was so delicious! I had the brown stew chicken and it was so flavorful and tender, the cabbage with rice and peas were also very good. I was definitely not disappointed and can’t wait to go again and try their other dishes.
I love the vegetarian patty and the homemade punch from this place! The patty was well-spiced and puffy/crispy. The fruit punch was delicious and not too sweet. The owner was very friendly and helped my friends decide what to get. Food was reasonably priced here and pretty authentic (according to our Jamaican friend). Highly recommend this place!
