The food and the dessert was really good & fresh cooked in house. This is place has an all plant base menu. The ambience is so welcoming & warm, I instantly felt comfort. Upon arrival your ears are greeted with smooth jazz tunes that set the tone for a warm place. When entering I would suggest to just walk directly to the back counter there wasn’t a host at the entrance. I was greeted by this woman with such beautiful energy. Though I opted for take out I was still able to enjoy the atmosphere of this restaurant while waiting for my food.
I absolutely love it here! Every time I eat here it's amazing. This time I got a soup and salad sampler. My favorite salads are the squash tuna and the marinated cabbage. And the lasagna is out of this world. I love that they have raw and cooked options, but I tend to prefer the raw dishes.
I unfortunately had a less than great experience here. The food was conceptually creative, but me and my two friends found that the execution of the dishes were lacking. The mushroom cheesesteak was really not much of a cheesesteak at all, more of a wrap and there wasn't much "cheese" to speak of. The lasagna did not remind us much of lasagna. I understand that the food is vegan, but I feel as though the names set expectations that did not accurately describe the food. I personally got the three dish platter with soup. At first, the dishes were really good, but at the bottom of the bowl was super wet with the vinaigrette and it ended up soaking everything. It ended up tasting very homogenous and overly sour. The final nail in the coffin was the price and service. We came in at 2:40p on a saturday and didn't get our food until around 3:20p, despite an empty dining room. Our server was very nice but unfortunately she was the only one and it was understandably hard to take care of all tables once it started getting busy. For the three of us it cost us 80$ and we left hungry. I have had plenty of great vegan dishes from places in the past, do consider some of the other places nearby.
We will be regulars! The food was great and the service was warm and welcoming. We ordered from the ‘Live’ menu which meant that everything was raw. I had that soul greens, butternut squash tuna and bbq mushrooms… I’ll just say.. the flavor combinations were great. A must try!!!!
PLEASE READ. I called and ordered my food around 6:35 they close at 7pm. I ordered 2 chickpea sandwiches for my son and I.. which is about a 35 minute drive from our house. We get home the sandwiches were absolutely disgusting. The chickpeas were very very dark and had a really strong nasty after taste, like it was scraped from the bottom of their container or something. IT WAS NOT FRESH AT ALL. I called immediately I did not get an answer beings though they were closed. Moving forward I called the next day and spoke to an employee that was very rude and saying I could not get a refund because it was a store policy that if you eat some of the food it can not be refunded. Which is absurd, because that’s the only way to discover it was DISGUSTING! Instead of asking for the remaining food (cause it was PLENTY LEFT! 2 whole untouched half a sandwiches and for the other 2 half’s we took 2 bites literally!!) and correcting the chef, I was penalized! I ask to speak to the owner and the same employee called me back, and the owner never acknowledged any of my complaint. Moving forward I spent lots of money supporting their business and was treated extremely poorly. I will NEVER eat from them again not just because it’s bad service BUT BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOUR GOING TO GET AND I DONT WANT TO GET SICK. Don’t waste your time or your money. I really wish I would have took pictures of my food and posted it!!
